Weightlifting Belts

I'm trying to get my 1RM squat from 110kg to 140kg in 8 weeks and I really do need all the help I can get. I'm thinking of picking myself up a weightlifting belt but don't know much about them really other than reading some 70s big articles http://www.70sbig.com/?p=1594

My main problem on squats is my core collapsing (chest dropping) long before my legs give out and from reading those 70s big articles a belt helps build core strength for squatting.

I was front squatting today and tried one on and felt like I got a lot out of it and I presume they are a lot better for back squats. What should I be looking to buy?

A good idea to have someone experienced show you how to use it. Press your abs against it, I find an extra layer of clothing help it fit better sometimes.

Any PL style belt will do the job. one that's 10-11mm thick's probably the best option for ya because you're a skinny litte runt :P Otherwise you run the risk of it getting up under your ribs and cracking one off!!
