    Munster:
    S Deasy; D Howlett, K Earls, J Murphy, D Hurley; R O'Gara, P Stringer; W du Preez, D Varley, J Hayes; M O'Driscoll, D Ryan; A Quinlan, D Wallace, J Coughlan.

    Replacements: M Sherry, Darragh Hurley, T Buckley, D O'Callaghan, P O'Mahony, D Williams, P Warwick, I Dineen

Can't find the Treviso team at time of post.

Good to see Deasy at FB and Dineen on the bench, both have been performing well for the As. I would have given a few more youngsters a go like Sherry, POM and Williams but it looks like McGahan is going for continuity as much as possible.

Murphy and Earls get another run in the centre together. :)

Why would they not put Deasy at 12 and Murphy at 15?

Wonderful. The match is on TG4.
Let me explain. The wife is English and her father is over from England on a visit. He hates Rugby. Doesn't understand the game. Doesn't want to learn.
    Loves "soccer". ?????

A few hours in front of the T.V. watching a game he can`t understand with commentary he can`t understand.
    It's like winning the Lotto.
    Thank you God !!!!!:):):)

Looking forward to seeing that Murphy-Earls combo again. While Earls was fairly blunt against Toulon, Murphy was giving him plenty of space to work in. If Earls can come back into form with Murphy playing as well as he is, the suspensions of Mafi and Tuitupou could be a blessing in disguise.

Why would they not put Deasy at 12 and Murphy at 15?

They seem to see Deasy as a 10/15.

Murphy at 15 didn't work against London Irish and he had an awesome game at 12 against Toulon.

Tommaso Benvenuti (number 20) for Treviso is being tipped as the next Italian star, he's scored 23 points in 2 games (4 tries and 1 DG), against Perpignan and Leicester. Only 19 years old too.

Does he ever have to watch soccer in Spain? How does he cope with that? Ireland is a foreign country to England you know and foreign countries often speak different languages to us. He will really feel as if he is on his holidays.;)

Why don't you turn down the television and put on Michael Corcoran. That way he will get everything described and explained to him and maybe he might grow to like rugby.

I must say I have watched rugby on S4C (Cymru if that's the right word for the Welsh language); BBC Alba (Gallic) and TG4 (Gaelic)- I don't understand a word of the commentary and it doesn't bother me one bit. However TG4 could take a leaf out of BBC Alba's book and provide pre match and half time analysis in English and also copy S4C's practice of having subtitles in English. This would help mollify the criticisms of a language most of the viewers find hard to understand.

They have a habit of under performing either side of a big HC game

I am going to chance the radio for commentary tonight, what radio station am I looking for?

Limericks live 95fm broadcasts all the munster games live.

A little perspective on the Murphy/Earls centre partnership. Warwick defended the 12 channel while Murphy went to FB against Toulon, in attack Murphy went back to centre with Warwick at FB. Murphy is not an inside centre and admits himself doesn't know the position too well. Would expect to see Deasy at 12 tonight for a spell.
Also lads I think ye're being harsh on Sammy, he had played very well for us at 12 and scored a very important try against Irish.

Think Munster will win this by 10 points or so, looking forward to a nice relaxing night without getting too carried away. Made an ass of myself against Toulon, hoarse til yesterday.

If you go to the Magners League site and then Match Centre when the match is on,select the game you want to listen to and then select 'Audio' option.

    http://www.magnersleague.com/matchcentre/index.php

Note that the internet is usually a bit behind the tv - so if you can get the station its on the radio it with synchronise better.

Decent enough team considering the injuries and the recent games. The weather has turned terrible here in Limerick, hopefully, it wont detroy the game with lots of knock ons etc.

managed to sync up the radio commentry to the tv the last time the game was on TG4, it was funny the refs mouth was moving but his voice was coming from my laptop in perfect harmony!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Hoping for a comfortable win and please please no more injuries.

    The stands look sparse tonight.

Must say I really like the commentary in Irish. Gives me a rare chance to brush up on my Gaeilge!

    Great first scrum from Munster.

    ROG slots simple penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Poor knock on from Earls.

That's 3 penalties given away by Munster and idiotic backchat from ROG makes it a kickable position.

    Burton scores, 3-3.

what's munster's policy for selecting the venue for home games in the magners. is it every 2nd one is on in musgrave park or what? seems like a fairly sparse crowd there today. surely it would be better suited to musgrave with a more condensed crowd leading to a better atmosphere?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 982 ✭✭✭Dick Turnip

was that rog with the back chat?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Munster have won 3 penalties from scrums in the first 12 minutes.

This is a second string Treviso selection though it has to be said.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,288 ✭✭✭crisco10

hmmmm...scrum A goes with Munster's front row, penalty. next scrum Treviso get the penalty. Next scrum, Munster get a penalty.

    Bizarre. Referee making it up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Try from Coughlan.

ROG converts, 10-3 with 15 minutes gone.

Just looked at that, this Treviso team shows about 8 changes from the one that ran Leicester close. It is the same front row though.

Treviso frontrower in the bin, persistent scrum infringements.

Varley try!!! So easy, no pillar defence from Treviso.

    ROG makes no mistake, 17 - 3.

    We should hammer these lads.

ROG just got steamrolled again

    Only 3 matches in Musgrave. 21st Nov v Scarlets; Wk/E 7/8/9 Jan v Glasgow; Wk/E 4/5/6 Marsh v Dragons.

JAysus. another yellow card at scrum time for treviso.

And still they keep getting penalised. What odds on a red card before fulltime?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

jesus another treviso frontrow in the bin.

Great decision by ROG to go for the scrum from the penalty.

Christ he's gonna bin the whole pack! haha

    Wallace try.

    ROG converts again, 24-3.

I'm not watchin but this sounds like a total mismatch. Take your bp and empty the bench...

Can ya imagine how demoralising seeing Buckley coming on would be if your a treviso front rower will be

ROG penalty on the stroke of halftime 27-3.

I guarantee Munster will not play a worse team this year. Treviso are hopelessly out of their depth here.

We've manshamed them in the scrum although they've competed well in the lineout.

Hard to give much credence to Munster. While they've taken their tries well they are sleepwalking through the game because Treviso are so poor.

Time to bring on Hurley, Sherry, POM, Williams and Dineen in the second half. This is a great chance to give these fellas gametime. We don't want key players injured in a mickey mouse game like this.

We should put the nail in the coffin here and put up a cricket score.

Watching on TG4, but listening on Limerick 95fm. Classic commentary!!

"Sure Quinlans mother Mary would tell you, he was born offside."

And after the second yellow card..."The ref won't be getting his fish and chips tonight."

    Brilliant.

Agree with everything you say there Thomond.

Great time to give some fellas a decent run in the 2nd half, get some good game time in. I would put the pressure on and try get the bonus ASAP then clear the bench.

    :o

    27 - 6 now

That was delicious from ROG! !!!!!

empty the bench now. The conversion should be ROGs last play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,721 ✭✭✭Otacon

    Try Earls! Boo Yay

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,599 ✭✭✭✭CIARAN_BOYLE

Thats the bonus point, time to empty the bench

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 129 ✭✭GG21057

Pity Lim 95 is out of sync tho...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Earls secures the bonus point after a fantastic run from Wallace, shades of his break against London Irish.

ROG converts from the touchline, great kicking display from him tonight.

    34-6, 50 minutes gone.

Please oh please unload the bench now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,288 ✭✭✭crisco10

Good to see Earls get on the score sheet too. Hopefully that will kick him off after a difficult few months for him.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,380 ✭✭✭fitz

I have it in sync. Using quictime on Mac to stream, pausing it doesn't stop the stream, it actually pauses it, so you should be able to get it lined up...
