So what have you and YOUR girlfriend enjoyed together recently?

Keeping away from recent movies in the cinema that is...

Just DVDs you might rent/ Classic films you both may enjoy together..

I'll leave this thread open provided there is no pointless listing.
This means YOU (you know who you are...)

Are we talking typical dumb girlfriend with terrible taste in films? If so, I can't really comment.

    Ha ha, classic.

I fond horrors are great to watch with the other half.

Also we really enjoyed "Up In The Air". "Before The Devil Knows Your Dead" was great too.

This is perhaps the most pointless thread off all time. Are couples supposed to watch a specific type of film?

Myself and my girlfriend will watch anything were in the mood for, be that a trashy splatter film or a comedy or even a hard-hitting drama. Neither of us looks at a film and thinks, "oh were a couple, we can't watch that together".

What kind of films do you and your girlfriend like?

I don't think simply being "a girlfriend" alters a woman's taste in films.

For example, the last films I picked out for myself and my husband included Dumbo, The Shining, Martyrs and 9 Songs (again).

By girlfriend he means one that would willingly pay to see Sex in the City or any romcom that's out.

My favourite moment thinking back was refusing to see "Couples' Retreat" with my gf; even though it had Jason Bateman, and outlined the plot to her (despite not having seen the trailer). She came back to me the next day and to her dismay, marvelled at my accuracy :pac::pac:

Honestly, i make her go with her mates to see romcoms, and i go with my mates to see korean torture films. Everybody's happy :pac: Last film i saw with her was Inception.

Love Actually, although it's a Christmas film. I bet she'd love The Karate Kid as well. Toy Story 3 has gotten a lot of high praise. Valentine's Day (another themed film) got alright reviews. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo if u can stand subtitles. Anyway that's what i got for ya :pac:

Me and my girlfreind actually have a similar taste in movies (well except for her chick flicks and Twilight movies ). Not so long ago, we done a Lord of the Rings marathon together in one day. And we plan on doing a Harry Potter marathon pretty soon too, as she has all the DVD's. The last DVD we rented was at the weekend, we got "Hunt to Kill", one of Stone Cold Steve Austins new movies.

It wasnt too bad to be honest. Some pretty good fight scenes in it. For a straight to DVD movie, it's worth watching

    Before Sunrise

A really good love story with none of that stupid romcom stuff. Just a good film for what it is. If you like it then you can watch its sequel:

    Before Sunset

A better film in my opinion.

OK, this thread is way too vague, I can see it turning into another what I watched recently thread.

OP, if you want more specific recommendations, use this thread. If you want to find films like films your girlfriend likes, ask there. Asking vaguely for suggestions for your 'normal' girlfriend probably isn't the most effective method.
