Post Run Recovery Drink

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent recovery drink for runners?

I'm getting about 2 x 5km and 1 x 15km run in per week and I also do bootcamp for an hour at least twice a week and am looking for something for after these sessions.

Most of the ones I see at the moment are aimed at gym goers - but am not sure if these would be just as suitable for me?

At the moment I sip a sports drink in the 30-40 minutes leading up to any exercise and drink plenty of water throughout the day and during any training sessions - but any recommendations on what I should be changing would be really appreciated!

    Thanks!

    K

I drink Solgar's 'Whey to go' (whey protein shake) straight after runs and bootcamp/weights sessions.. there are cheaper versions of the same thing widely available on the net though, which i'll be buying next time when this one is finished.

I have found that it's reduced stiffness/soreness after particularly tough sessions.
