I lost 61 pound in 6 months, got to goal just the other day. Im so happy with the weight loss but the extra flappy skin around my stomach area and my arms is still there.. I go to the gym 3 times a week and jog for 30 mins on the days I dont go to the gym. I give myself a break on Saturdays

What should I start doing now to get rid of the loose skin ?? I dont do weight training in the gym because I haven't a clue but if thats what I have to do then will you please explain

    Im 5ft 2 female and weigh 9 stone 10

I really want to just try and tone up now :)

Lifting weights is always a good idea, particularly for women, it improves strength and fitness and bone density, but it won't magically remove loose skin.

Mostly, it's time that does that. Think of yourself as a pregnant woman who has just given birth to a set of triplets. It takes time for the skin to recover from that, and a good diet with plenty of omega 3 will help, so will some good skin cream. I think Gok Wan did a comparison and found that Palmer's cocoa butter was the best for this sort of thing.

Give it a year. It occasionally becomes necessary to get some plastic surgery to remove loose skin, but I believe plastic surgeons generally will not consider doing this until you have been at target for at least a year. It can take up to a year for the skin to tighten up again. If it hasn't by then, it probably isn't going to.

In the gym, get a trainer to show you how to squat, deadlift, bench press, pull-up, dips, military press, bent over rows, stiff leg deadlifts.

What age are you OP? You've only lost 4 stone, loose skin really shouldn't be a major issue for you, your probably just a bit flabby because you haven't been weight training. Look on youtube for tutorials on how to lift weights or hire a personal trainer for a sessionor two to show you. It'll tighten up in time.

Four stone is plenty to have loose skin. But it probably won't stay loose.

4 stone is a lot of weight to lose, esp on a 5'2 frame, I'm sure you are transformed, well done!
I agree re the weights, it really helps tighten everything up.
I lose 2 stone over the last year/18mths but the weight training I've been doing has really improved my flabby mum of 2 tummy & love handles.
I also apply Nivea q10 skin firming body cream & find it good for improving skin texture.

I just turned 19, yeah I'm happy overall but I don't know if my exercise routine is doing me any good anymore, My legs are gone very muscularly, not manly but noticeable because I jog almost everyday and then I just do some toning exercises 3 times a week. Ill have to look up some videos but there are so many

anyone know any good youtube videos for women doing weights in a gym ?

    Check out Transform's YouTube clips.

For the record, women should train the same as men, concentrating on squat, bench, deads etc. The weights will be a bit lower, but the intensity should be the same.

Honestly, don't worry about muscular legs. Women can't be objective about our own legs, we always see them at a weird angle, and never get a good perspective on what they really look like.

There's a great website for women www.stumptuous.com and this is my favourite page of it. www.stumptuous.com/?s=cross+section+thigh

Another good website is www.exrx.net which will show you the proper form on hundreds of exercises.
