    Why would you think the shake had anything to do with the hangover.
    corelation and causation etc

    and that vodka is lol tbh, just marketing

    calories are determined by how much energy a substance has, they burn the food in a lab to figure out how much heat a certain amount can produce.

    Since alcohol obviously burns quite well it's considered very high in calories, as to why, I have no idea, it's like god's curse to drinkers.
    Alcohol is still a used as a fuel by our bodies. It's roughly between protein/carbs and fat in terms of calorie density.
    Although, it doesn't use it in the same way or as readily, but you make it sound as if it has calories because ts flamable.

    As far as where they come from, vodka is made by distilling basically potato juice, your drinking the rotten starches of a potato.

    So basically it's horrible for you, and it shouldn't be!
    :rolleyes: It's not rotting starches, and that's not the reason its bad for you.
