At the level 99% of people are running and exercising at, it doesn't make a lick of difference.

how about for burning fat?before you have breakfast etc?

Running first thing in the morning before breakfast definetely aids fat loss.
Numerous studies have shown this to be true.

However, you would be able to train for longer, and with more intensity with a breakfast. This, IMO, cancels out and excells the extra fat loss that running on an empty stomach would incur.

Higher Intensity workouts such as Interval Sprints are better for overall fat loss according to research. Low intensity is prescribed for people who need to build up a foundation fitness base.

I find the morning to be a more productive time although the lack of energy in your body could limit your performance

take an apple before you workout in the morning, ideally 1 to 2 hours and it will help.
