iv been trying to get fit for a while now with no success so iv set myself a goal to do a marathon this time next year
iv started doing the couch to 5 k program and as has happened before im getting shin splints
im a big guy 198cm 120 kg so im putting them down to carring excess weight.
im wearing good runners and am running on grass which has a sandy base
im trying to strech out the legs for a min of 15 seconds after running and getting in a cold bath before a hot shower.
towards the end of the session i do feel tired but could go on apart from the pain has anyone any advice they could give to help im only on week 2 of the program and if im hurting now im not sure ill be able to finish it

Im afraid im going to have to lock this...it could be seen as medical advice. Someone couild give you advice which could end up causing more damage. I would suggest seeing a GP or physio.
