Being smug

I have several times been accused of being quite smug.

Now I have travelled around the world, lived in many different places and had many great experiences. When I talk about them people seem to think I'm a smug p-ick.

Is there anything wrong with being smug?

thats about as anti-irish as you can get, dont you know you're supposed to suffer a miserable existence in this country and begrudge anyone who does anything remotely exciting? sure why would you want to go abroad, you'll only be coming back anyway, dont you know theres a recession on, well for some etc etc

You don't have to be well travelled and wealthy to be smug. I've had friends that were unemployed and still managed to pull it off..

people get tired of others that won't shut up about where they have been, what they do for work, the time they saved a puppy from drowning. It's self serving horse crap. You should pick mutual topics of interest like TV shows, music etc.

To be honest, a guy thats constantly going on about how how debt free he is, how good he is with the 'ladies' , the fact that he's so confident & popular yadda yadda yadda on a forum like this is lacking something. It doesn't make sense.

Theres probably a few people on boards who are quite wealthy but you would never know. Because they have humility. They're sound.
