just seen this myself. hopefully it means that they will make some investment into the gyms to improve them. Clarehall is like a warzone sometimes. Guess I better renew my membership, just incase they increase the membership prices.

Well be interesting to see what they do alright regarding investment. Hopefully they update some of the free weights areas and provide more oly bars etc

Clarehall certainly is a great facility. Again it is such a pity that the equipment is so ancient and the management so indifferent. If they brought in new equipment and got rid of the management like Daly etc they I would definately consider going back. I can't comment on the other 2 centres that Total Sh*tness have in Dublin

Also, ya gotta look at the motivation for an MBO.

They either think there's room to extract greater profits out of the business, or feel that the assets are undervalued and are buying in the hopes of selling on at a profit at some later date.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter.

    Spot the auditor!

It could be great for customers or a total f'ing disaster. I've witnessed both. For example Xtra-vision are in the process of transformning themselves into something unrecognisable from the backwards mess Blockbuster had them as. So it could be for the better.

Virgin Megastore's MBO was a ****party of epic proportions, however.
