Would the ps90x be suitable for someone who needs to lose 3 stone and is very very unfit? Would u be better off trying too lose the weight first?

IMHO no. P90x is a tough regime and is aimed at folks who have a good level of fitness and who want to lower body fat and increase their overall fitness. I think that you should work on sorting out your diet and work on getting a decent base level of fitness before tackling P90X. IMHO maybe something like the Couch 2 5k program and maybe add in some body weight exercises to start to improve your strength.

Have a look at The Home Workout Thread for some ideas.

Here is what the P90X site says about this.

The most important part of your goal to lose 3 st will be your diet. With the correct diet you could lose the entire 3 st and never do a single exercise. Your diet affects your weight and exercise affects how you look naked and your fitness. For overall health and fitness the two go hand in hand.
