    06 - October

Today is my Birthday, simple question is it yours?

If yes please hit the "thank you" button.

If it is not your Birthday please write the date and others can play Birthday Bingo, it should be interesting as the game plays on we should have a total of 365 dates listed so please look for your before you add.

Will one date have more Boardies that most?

I'm going to thank everybody who mentions their birthday.

Thats some quality reverse psychology right there.

Had my birthday less then a week ago, turned 29. Spent it in my underpants with a bottle of Captain Morgans and my shattered hopes and dreams, good times.

Choose 25 random people and the odds are very high that at least two of them will have the same birthday

The day with the most birthdays is January 1st, with 130 birthdays, about 4 times the average.

The second most popular day is 25th of December. There's a lot of Jesus wannabes on Boards.

No read it in an autobiography a few years ago, "Armadillo Slim in the World Full of Fat People" if I recall the name correctly.

    Pedantic, not quite ;)
overly concerned with minute details or formalisms, esp. in teaching.

sliiightly more than a minute detail :D

    But that's ok, I like prizes :)

Don't you know gambling is the devil:eek:

More info here on this link:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_problem

I made a mistake in the number, for a group of 25 people it is still more likely then not that you'd find two people with the same birthday but not a very high probability as I mistakenly said in my original post.

Fair enough. They did the same thing on the programme; 25 people in a restaurant and each one was asked how many people they thought would need to be gathered together to get a matching pair of birthdays. The common view was around 50. They were then asked to to call out their birthday and if someone had the same one they had to shout out. Sure enough, they did get a matching pair. The programme asked a professor (of statistics?) whether that was unusual. She said it wasn't and that 20-something would be around the figure she would say; something to do with a person having 24 possible pairs in a room of 25 people (and the same for everyone else in the room , obviously).
