Caring for your Diabetic Kidneys

    I posted this in the Clare Forum but just in case I missed some LTI people; here it is again.

    The Diabetes Federation of Ireland CLARE BRANCH.

    “Caring for your Diabetic Kidneys”, Diabetes Information Meeting & AGM

    The Clare Branch of the Diabetes Federation of Ireland are holding a Diabetes Information meeting “Caring for your Kidneys, Tips on how to prevent Diabetic Kidney Disease”, in the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis on Sunday the 10th of October at 3pm.

    According to the Irish Society of Nephrology, “Diabetes is among the leading causes of kidney failure. Although there is no cure for diabetes, good control if diabetes can help avoid kidney damage”.

    There will also be a short presentation about Diabetes Action, the new campaign to improve health services for people with diabetes.

    Lots of information will be provided by the Diabetes Federation of Ireland Clare branch and by the Irish Kidney Association's Clare Branch.

    Tea & coffee will be served, which will give people with diabetes a chance to meet other people with diabetes.



    The Clare branch runs support groups for people with diabetes in Ennis, Co. Clare, more information about local diabetes events can be obtained by calling the dedicated branch phone; 087 641 5747 or by emailing clarebranchdfi@gmail.com

    Admission is free and all are welcome.
