    Alright guys,

Any bright spark able to give me an insight into how effective/uneffective taking this supplement is whilst training hard and eating clean?

If anyone has had any experiences with it i'd appreciate a response.

    Cheers.

Hanley is using Hydroxycut at the minute, or at least was until v.recently

A quick search for thermopure throws back the following

    Thermopure's useless.

    From Liam Henners' fitness log;
Once my thermopure supply runs out, Ill be copying you and getting the Hydroxycut

Im not "pulling" out for no reason, I have a coaching course

FYI, thermo pills used to contain ephedrine, which has thermogenic effects.
Now (thermopure, hydroxycut, Xenadrine) are just caffine pills. They still have there uses, but its basically just to focus more, go that extra mile etc

Thermopure's good for caffine and not a whole pile else.
    3 tabs = 450mg caffeine.
Take them 1/2 hour before training.

    Harsh!

You got your answer above, I take Thermopure also but am now reading up on Hydroxycut since the lads above were good enough to say Thermopure is pretty much just caffeine.

Has it induced any extra weight loss in yourself or is that part just a gimmick.

I dont know about extra weight loss, I have been taking it for a while and lost a lot of weight but I train 5 days a week and make sure I have a calorie deficit for maintenance every day. It might work better but then again it could be in my head.

Hydroxycut looks mental, the food safety authority of Ireland have actually advised people against it. I'm also reading some reviews of people saying their heart rate goes through the roof, cant sleep and liver hurts!

I hope that Hanley lad is alright....

Any chance you could quantify how much weight you've dropped in how long on them. Should be easy enough to gauge.

    August 09 - 21 stone 3 lbs
    Today - 14 stone 8 lbs

Probably used Thermopure for the last 3 months.

Problem is the last 3 months I had 3 holidays so the weight was up and down.

Your best bet is to try it for 2 weeks with a specific meal and exercise plan, then do the next 2 weeks without it but stick to the original meal and exercise plan, see if that works.

Hydroxycut's not that mad at all tbh...

Anyone saying their liver hurts on it is an idiot and should be ignored.

I had been taking thermopure and CLa for the last 4-6 months and kept what i believe to be a generally good diet and exercise regime, In my honest opinion i firmly belive with nothing but my on xp that CLA does nothing worth bothering about and i can not notice and difference in taking and not taking.

Thermopure says that on training days take 3 30 minutes before a workout, i would take 3 30 minutes before a spin class and i can confirm that i would sweat more with thermopure and generally catch a second wind that i normally would not, that with 3, on non training it says take 1 3 times a day so say breakfast lunch and dinner, for me this did nothing at all with no noticeable effects in temp or mental state, by mental state i mean like..would i notice i had taken something..sorta thing

I stopped on both and now take Animal Omega and Thermobol, massive massive difference in mental feeling and temp and heart rate, workouts are explosive and energy is through the roof dawn til dusk.

I have an advert on adverts for thermo and cla but if a fitness boardie want to try them ive no prob in looking after them!!....shameless plug over:p

Congratulations on that achievement. That is some amount of weight to lose. Fair ****s to ya!

I go to the gym every day and do cardio and weights and the weight is going down slowly. I've lost 10 pound in the last 4 weeks but that's not enough imo.

Might get this and see what it's like.

Is it true that it causes palpitations, severe sweats, and sleepless nights or is that just more made up bull****?

    cheers man,

10 pounds in 4 weeks is great, why are you not happy with that? The general rule is 1.5 - 2lbs per week, anything else and you might risk losing muscle. I'm no expert on the matter though but I know it can be a hard slog and if you just keep at it you will get to your ideal weight eventually.

I know it's more than the expected amount to lose in that space of time, but i'm a hard chap to please haha.

Will keep up the gym going as i'm really enjoying it and look forward to the final result. I too am 14 stone 8 atm, my target weight being 13 stone on the dot. I'm 5ft 11 but think i'm still about 1 stone overweight.

What i will say though is that over the past 4 weeks my fitness has improved dramatically. It will take time i know, and am prepared to slog through it like yourself.

Meal plans have varied over time as I had a different calorie intake depending on what weight I was, doesnt matter what you eat (to an extent) as long as you have a calorie deficit to your maintenance. Loads of great info in the stickies.

    However now it is generally

Pre workout (7am) - Impact whey isolate + handful of hazlenuts
Post workout - Impact whey isolate
Breakfast - Porridge with some honey
Mid morning - couple of pieces of fruit
Lunch - Wrap with ham and cucumber plus a mixed salad + a low fat yoghurt
Mid afternoon - some more nuts and can of tuna
Dinner - either 2 chicken breasts or a fillet steak and a good bit of veg, low fat yoghurt again
Nothing in the evening generally as I have dinner pretty late these days.

Weekends you could add a few pints to the above :P

Diet isnt perfect but it works for me for now.

Exercise plan is in my log in the sub forum fitness logs above but Mon/Wed/Fri I do Stronglifts 5X5 plus a HIIT workout on the X-trainer, Tues/Thurs I do a 1 hour kettlebells class, weekends rest.
