Can anyone tell me if any sugar free drinks which are good for rehydration exist? I hear a lot about water with electrolytes in the US. Can it or similar be gotten here?

The diet restriction also rules out salt/potassium.

salt/potassium are electrolytes. You could eat more food with water in it, like fruit & veg & soup.

@soundbyte: Is your diet restriction a medical restriction or just something that you impose on yourself?

If there is a medical reason for your diet restriction, then you really should talk to your doctor about recommendations for rehydration that will suit your condition.

electrolytes = salt. Usually a mix of potassium and sodium.

If you want to rehydrate without salt or sugar, you're looking at water.

    From that Dioralyte link:

    Active ingredients:
Each Dioralyte sachet contains: glucose 3.56g, sodium chloride 0.47g, potassium chloride 0.30g and disodium hydrogen citrate 0.53g.
