FIFA League Season 4 - New Player Sign Up

This thread is for new players wishing to sign up to take part in the new season of the PS3 FIFA League.

Any player who did not take part in Season 4 is considered a new player regardless of having played in other leagues before or not.

We will be starting the league in about 2-3 weeks to give people time to get the game which comes out this Friday (1st October).

We will be following the "Xbox" rules and format for the upcoming release of FIFA 11. I will edit for PS3 and post accordingly when the leagues start.

If you can't play by them then this league is not for you.

Also you will be expected to play 3 games per week as per the fixture list. To be fair to others in the league if you aren't going to be able to play that amount of fixtures then dont sign up.

Further details will be posted closer to the time of starting the league regarding team picks etc.

Looks like roughly 40 players interested between new and returning. Maybe 3 leagues of 14 or 4 leagues of 12 (depending on total numbers obviously). I wouldn't see a problem with making up the leagues at the weekend and maybe getting started next week? Could give everyone a chance to get accustomed to their teams. Has a decision been made on what teams they are going to be?

This would be a decent idea imo. give people a chance to get to grips with teams they haven't played as before maybe and get to know their players better. A nice managerial bedding in period if you will.

Hi Guys / Gals.

I notice that we have some returning players as well as plenty of new faces. We have 30 players who have declared interest in this league before the deadline was set

There may be a big difference in the quality of player but I hope everyone can successfully complete this qualifying campaign.

Every new / returning player must first compete in this Qualifying League. This league will run in tandem with the official league(s), but will exist as a standalone entity.

Players will be assessed on a number of criteria including their ability to complete games in a timely manner, their disciplinary record and their overall skill and general behaviour in the league and on boards. There will be promotion spots up for grabs; format etc to be declared shortly.

The Qualifying Leagues will have a fixture list set out from the start, but the onus is on each player to make the effort to arrange their own games with fellow players within each gameweek.

Once the Qualifying League has concluded, suitable players will be ranked based on the aforementioned factors and will be assigned to one of the leagues.

I'm afraid it is too late - keep an eye out for Season 5
