    Hey all,

I know, don't do it, but I've been flying of late, weight disappearing in allbut the love handles, managing really well, weights up, run up, everything flying. Crashed this week with a real heavy cold / chest. I don't wanna stop training (enough energy while on pain killers / decongestants), anyone any tips ? Other than DON'T ??

Even to maintain something would be great so I don't feel psychologically screwed for a week...

You should rest for a full week until you feel better

Good advice - you can also use the week off training to focus on optimising your eating habits.

Muscle is slow to gain and slow to go - you're not going to lose any over the course of a week which won't be immediately regained once you start training again.

Also, sometimes a rest from hard training actually gives your body the chance to recover and gain muscle.

Against what the Dr would tell me I just went training today with a head cold......felt great after it and added a little to all my lifts, I wouldnt chance running outside though.

I found the sauna and steam room after were good to clear the head.
