Well apparently its going to be released tomorrow and we will all be able to see our front doors on the interweb

Just thought we could start a thread for people to add pics of whatever they might like,maybe how-do drinking cans down the Quay or the like..

Surely they will have a clear picture looking down on waterford working before streetview is working.

I couldn't see how street view could possibly work while the clearer picture like they have in Dublin isn't up yet.

We shall see anyway.

As wellboy76 said, the satellite images on Google Maps are different from the images taken at road level by the Google Street View cars.

When Google Street View is online later today, it should be possible to drag the orange man icon over any line which shows up in blue on the map and see pictures of the street or road.
The blue dots which can be seen currently are only links to uploaded still photos of particular locations, and not real Street View as already available in other countries.

I wanted that star from ziedth so I looked for Tawdy by Grace Dieu on the Tramore Rd.

Street view does a mad time warp by there. :eek:

Jezus, the Dunmore Road disappears into Ardkeen Shopping Centre at one point, and into Collins Avenue at another. Then you go down the Quay and summer turns to winter. Space/time distortion a go-go!

Mu house is on too, half-open curtains and all! It was taken in the spring, around March I should think. All you get round Tramore is the photo-globes, no map, excellent pics.

I was hoping I'd see one of the cats cause they are always just camped out by the road but the camera seems to skip my front Gate. Thankfully, we get up to some crazy **** out our way

Some crazy continuity gaffs: Check out the Newrath roundabout, then looking back at where you came from. But it's amazing, I certainly wasnt expecting such extensive coverage...there's hardly a lane they didnt visit

Just looking at my house on it. The bedroom windows are open but neither of our cars are in the driveway! Whoops! Also there are election posters up. Anyone know the date when these photos were taken.

Also has anyone turned on the 3D mode and viewed the screen with the red/blue 3D glasses?
