It has been a while since we met mid-week and a few people want to go bowling so hopefully there will be enough people around mid week!

Thursday 7th October in the Mardyke is winning with 10 votes and at this point it is a safe bet that that won't change.

For anyone wondering about having a few drinks before / after well the Mardyke sell alcohol so you can drink while bowling if you wish...

Guys, can I get some opinions. I spoke to Kingtut about this already but I want to get other opinions.

I can come on Thursday evening BUT I have two friends visiting from my homeland (Newcastle) and I cannot just say "bye now, I'm going bowling".

So IF I came I would end up bringing my Finnish wife (who kingtut and brainyneuron have met) and my two friends (a guy and a girl same age as me).

Is this massively uncool to bring three extra bodies with me? I'm only a newbie here so I don't want to annoy everyone. I won't be offended if people turn round and say its a bad idea - HONESTLY!!

The more the merrier! Just remember the golden rule - guests have to buy the drinks all night :P

All after speaking with the Mardyke they have informed me that they do not have 2 free lanes until 10pm...

So would people prefer to go bowling in the Mardyke at 10pm or go to the Leisureplex at 8pm (or another time if 8 does not suit the majority)?

what does everyone think? i vote for mardyke.. we could meet up earlier anyways and do the bowling at 10

Yup I vote bowling at 10 too! Kinda wanted to go to the Patrick Holford talk thats on in the Clarion anyway, thats over at 9 i think so i'll be over afterwards! Thanks dude for organising it

I wouldn't be there much later than 10, early start Friday morning but will be there for a while if others are there.

Lanes are better in the Mardyke, had a very bad experience with the lanes in Leisureplex last time I was there.

Not sure what time I will get there at or where people are meeting for pre-drinks however if it is in the Mardyke ryano77 then it will be upstairs (downstairs has been closed for months apart from the night club).
