single most expensive item i bought would be my kwa G36c roughly 260€ i think.

single biggest waste would probably be my old CA M4 sportsline the bundled charger took out two batteries and never worked right the two times i took it to a skirmish. ( feed problem the first time and second time i put a new air nozzle inside it and she was hot, around 1.3j ) gave up after that and just kept parts of it as spares.
Counting everything i guess 250€ or so was wasted.

I cant remember for sure but at the time (2007) I paid 748 Euros for a
Star AW338. Not sure if thats my most expensive purchase or not.
(Have not got a clue what price they are nowadays but I reckon they
    are a lot cheaper)

So far it's been my Magpul M4 MOE..€450.
Of course I've spent another €200-300 on it since :)

I couldn't justify spending anymore on a AEG..it's not the money..it's the fact that I'm so happy with the M4 that I wouldn't use another one really and I'm not a collector so don't see the point of having loads of them around and not using them.

My Magpul PTS Masada - €550.

    So so worth it :D

Mine would be €380 on a G&P SR16 Shorty, love it to bits :D

Trip to Berget, if it's all rolled together. Looking at the numbers - plane tickets, event ticket, car hire - it looks very doable. But holy crap it starts to add up as good money gets thrown after bad. Once you say to yourself "well I'm not letting some simple logistical issue wreck my big ultimate airsoft holiday" the money starts to flow. My AEG is unreliable! New AEG. I hear you can't get carbon dioxide cartridges in Sweden! New slingbacker. Be a shame to be in Stockholm and not do all this touristy stuff! That. And so on.

    Bloody worth it though.

Otherwise, same as everybody else, it's a gun.

Berget , cost me around €1200

Outside of that it is just another gun or something.

The best investment for pound was my warrior assault vest, €160 and worth every penny

My first AEG which was the Classic Army AK-47 for €170

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,395 ✭✭✭Decoy

My most expensive purchase was my primary AEG, a TopTech T418 which cost €380 before I started adding the Magpul gucci to it.

If I had the money I would have no problem paying €550 for the Masada.

If I had serious money I would have no problem paying ~€700 for a Celsius CTW.

If I had Lotto money I would have no problem paying €1k+ for a Barrett or Cheytac purely as a wall-hanger/garden-plinker, but then again if I had Lotto money I would buy my own site and a HUMVEE (+ other miscellaneous miltary hardware) to drive around it all day.

Surely somebody here will admit to having spent €1k+ on a wall-hanger??

Totally - those things are champion.

I've spent stupid money on airsoft - enough to fund the national debt of a small African nation at times. But the one thing I don't regret is the warrior vest.

I'm still saving for mine :(
The most I've spent on one thing was €120, now its worth a lot more....

Most expensive thing was my G&G L85A2 which cost €380 without anything and €480 with battery, charger and sling.

Because you used it yeah ;) ?

As embarrassing as that is the most expensive thing ive bought to day is a CA Sportsline M15A4...

I dunno how I have the kit I have no at the moment but ive never spent 200+ on airsoft in one go..But all my kit added together is probably on the better part of 600 euros

Another vote for the Warrior gear, might as well include it as it's the most expensive non-AEG/Pistol I have bought. The vest itself (Centurion Combo Mk1 Chest Rig) was reasonable, what kills the wallet is adding pouches to customise the rig, especially when you want two loadouts (one OD + one Coyote Brown+MultiCam). Having said that, I know the Warrior will last far longer than I will so it is money well spent

€1950 for a single item (so no, not the sum total of a trip overseas)

My most expensive is probably the RPK I never skirmish, its 600 euro's worth of high end donor gun, parts and internal fancy stuff.

I never even use it, but it looks great.

As many long time members can attest, it is also most definitely not a wall-hanger either.

    My Systema PTW CQB-R

    Approximately €2000+

The AEG itself, 3 different cylinders
    5 batteries
    Full set of mags

Awesome gun, needs lots of TLC.

I bought a jeep to go to skirmishes with so my shiny car wouldn't get all wrecked, cost about 4k after taxing it and kicking its tyres.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 560 ✭✭✭cobra 08

The most expensive items would be my G&G Scar L:)
And my G&G M14 EBR (which I am currently awaiting delivery):D

My completely custom Marui MEU is approaching the €500 mark now once its new sights arrive.

Other than that, everything else is pretty modest, CA MP5 etc. No reason to spend lots of money unless you want something really different. :)

After the jeep to get to sites and the attic conversion to keep my gear in , the most expensive single purchase was the holiday for the wife so that she would go away and let me play airsoft.Worth every penny (cent).

My KA(?) Sig 556. For the gun, silencer and scope, all in all 260, and in the near future it's heading in to get a precision barrel, hop up, and other niceness done to it

Looks like cybergun and not the KA version.
    Nice with the scope. ;)

Yeah, but I thought the cybergun one was a KA?

Oh, and aswell as the 260, add on another 35 as it broke 2 slings on me cause of the weight.

Magpul MS2 in the near future

They do a KA version but the one you have is not it.
This is the one you have below.

There are subtle differences - most obvious external being the iron sights. By all accounts your version is a great performer.

Sorry for dragging the topic off line.:o

Birnging it back on topic (sorry again) - the most expensive thing I bought in airsoft was that damned Beretta springer I bought back n the mid 90's (in Spain). Might have only cost me about €30 but it was like the first drink/cigarette/hit... addicted ever since...

At least I never went down the systema route... small blessing I guess.:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

Ahem ... Aidan - are you trying to say that not going down the Systema route has saved you money and that you haven't sold your left kidney to fund airsoft stuff - because I'd have to call you out on such an obviously false statement!
