i want to loose 20lbs before now and christmas - am sick of going to the gym and not getting results, not feeling motivated, eating poorly.

i think i need someone to really kick me up the arse and focus my mind, provide me with structure, motivate me, tell me what to eat and when, design proper workouts for me and be there in person when i am doing them etc

i basically feel that i need a personal trainer to hand hold me every session i have in the gym, this could be very costly though. i dont mind paying as it is an investment in me but i want to know other peoples views before i go about getting one.

based on people's experiences what are your views on using personal trainers? are they worth it? do they motivate you to deliver real results? are they worth the investment? how many times a week did you use one? were your goals delivered on?

if you have used a personal trainer before i'd love to hear your views..

i have seen their website - it has way too much info on it which, for me, makes it confusing and i dont think it is clear what it is they actually offer.

what do they offer? is it personal 1-1 training or do they give you a programme and you're meant to just head down when suits you and do it on your todd? the benefit of a personal trainer is that you get 1-1 attention.

i did 1 on 1 training before and the results i got out of informed performance were 5 times a good and as quick.

there are 4 strength programmes and 2 conditioning programmes so you will be told what ones to do depending on your goals.if your goals fall outside of those programmes ie sport specific like me then you will get a personal programme.

you can go anytime you want but the guys are always out on the floor so is like personal training also.you also get to know everyone at the gym and its a good atmosphere kind of like a team.you will find yourself training with people and both pushing each other on especially on the conditioning days!!

you should drop will an e mail or head down to the place just to find out your own info there always willing to talk about training and nutrition and anything really for that matter!!!keep us posted

ps you do realise a good personal trainer will cost you about 200-250 a week if your doing 3-4 sessions with them?its only 20 a week in informed performance ,far better value for money in these recessionary times!!

First of all forget october 1st. Start today.
It's crap like that which comes in as "unmoviated".

20lbs in 12 weeks. Only yourself to blame if you don't make it tbh.
Just have to focus and do it.

The above post should probably be deleted since I just reported it, so I'll carry on regardless.

OP the best bet is just to come down and have a chat to us about your goals and we can explain what we do face to face. We had an open day on Saturday it's a same you missed but you can come down anytime.

You shouldnt be looking at dropping the pounds and having a figure in mind, you should be more concerned with the inches and body fat.

If the guys dont interest you, check neil mc taggerts website and download his ebook, its very simple to follow and he cuts out all the bull
