What are these?

    I posted this already in the extreme sports section hoping someone would know what there called but to no avail.So im hoping ye might use these or something like it in your rigging.

    So what the flip are these things called?The buckles or clasps on the sling,what the **** are they its driving me mad,if i cant find them what else could i use that's not a carabiner?

    The circled thing is a particularly easy to use and easy to release shackle

    Oh god if I could kiss you i would!

    You wouldn't believe the crap iv trolled through and been told these are,clasps,lobster clasps,rope latch ect.Would i get them in union chandlers and places like that?

    I'd imagine you could get them in most chandlers alright, they'd be fairly commonplace on boats (we use them for attaching halliards to sails and sails to boat) so a chandler would be a good bet.

    You dont understand the hair pulling,table kicking antics I went through last night.

    Now to my next question.Are they only available in stainless?

    And one more,Is there a chandlers in dublin?

    don't know about non-stainless sorry. There are chandlers in dublin alright, there's a union chandlers in Malahide iirc, there's a chandlers in Howth, there's a chandlers/sailing supplies shop in Sutton called Dinghy Supplies. All northside I know but I'm sure someone here could recommend more, I just tend to head down to dinghy supplies if in need if something.

    Well there called snap shackles.I found exactly what im looking for but its from the states,but then again there only 8 dollers posted.
