    Hi,

Thinking if leaving my local hotel gym to join this one.

Before I arrange to go have a look at it, can anyone say what it's like? Equipment wise, would they have a few power racks/ squat racks, olly bars etc?

Any idea on price? Gym itself clean and tidy etc? Air conditioned?

Sorry for all the questions just sick of my own gym after spending 45 mins waiting for use of power rack last night and countless machines broken.

    Cheers for any info !

I used to train there and didn't find it great. It'd be ok if you're just using cardio equip/machines - but if you're going to be using free weights then I'd look elsewhere. The changing rooms stank too and were way too warm. I paid by DD and it was 69Eur a month.

Yeah but they have gold chairs and mood lighting... thats all that really matters!

Yeah, it's totally different from the other Crunch Fitness locations.

Can anyone recommend a good city centre gym then? This ones location was perfect! Shame!

There are a number of options in the city centre. Where exactly are you based?

Let's say I'm based at Aston quay, at least that's where I'll be coming from.

What about any in the ifsc? Needs to have decent squat rack etc

Does crunch even have a squat rack? Was looking at iveagh fitness and looks like smiths machines only? No good!!

Haha - I thought it was you when you were asking specifically about the squat rack!

I'll send you all the details now.

    Kind regards,

    Paul

I am a member at crunch. I don't use the weights so i am not to sure what is in there. I enjoy the gym, there is plenty of cardio machines never have any trouble get one. I really like there classes, which they up to date and change with the season. The class instructors are really nice and friendly. On the bad side, the spinning room is very small and the dressing room can be warm. For me the location is amazing, it saves me so much time and this is important to me rather than treking around and losing a whole evening.

I was looking for a recent post about the current rates being charged by crunch fitness, Temple Bar but couldn’t find any.

I called them today and was eventually told the rate is 69 Euro per month.

I was a member there for four years (paid 59 Euro per month) but left when the Ben Dunne gym in Jervis Street opened.

I prefer Crunch and would go back but only if they reduce their prices. Every time I call to check prices I can’t seem to get a straight answer out of them. If you ask the rates they won’t give them and try to get personal information so they “can do a deal”.

It’s creepy and a big turn off so maybe the person in charge of sales and marketing should review the policy.Anyway, for me, 69 per month is too much, considering the prices of competitors.
