The WWE doesn't even know who it is so don't think we'll be finding out any time soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

I'll say we'll find out who it is soon enough,Edge and Jericho seem to be pushing to reveal his/her identity so WWE must have a rough idea who they're going to give the job to.My money is on Mike Adamle :)

    Should still be Michael Cole.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,888 ✭✭✭Charisteas

I wouldn't go expecting a big surprise. Bookies faves have to be Vince and Michael Cole, with rank outsiders Jim Ross, HHH, or Stephanie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Didn't they start the whole gm thing just after HHH was given his time off?

Nah, I think it was a bit after that. Bret Hart was GM for a while until Nexus took him out, then the email GM started

It's Paul Heyman, Jim Cornette and Vince Russo. Those scoundrels! Nice to see they put their differences aside.

Does anyone else think that the Mystery GM is Zack Ryder?? I'm not taking the piss or anything, i've actually been thinking about it the past couple of weeks, since his backstage promos with Edge have started.

Ok, let's look at Edge's current situation with the ? GM. He's getting screwed every week by the GM, having the results of his matches over-turned and restarted. Before his matches, Zack Ryder always seems to be trying to become frinds with Edge and wanting to help him, only to have Edge basically telling him to F*** off and insulting him. Maybe if Ryder was the GM, he would be paying Edge back for all of this.

The GM also seems to have it in for Sheamus......remember the 5 second match between Sheamus and Zack Ryder a couple of weeks ago??

The whole "Woo Woo Woo" gimmick could be all a cover up and in reality, Zack Ryder is undercover as the Gm. I know it's a long shot, but if it comes to be true, remember who said it first ;)

I'd say Michael Cole, HHH or Stephanie McMahon

Just some thoughts I've had about WWE and the mystery GM.....

    1) Mentioning that you have Cole's laptop's IP number means nothing. You need the IP number of the GM's blackberry or however he's communicating with Cole, and even at that, you'd need to obtain the person's name from their Internet Service Provider - which you won't get unless you have a court order. So... basically you have nothing! God help us if the GM installed an IP blocker/hider lol....

    2) Say that it actually is the GM's laptop. Maybe they should click properties on my computer and see who it's registered to :pac::pac: or easier yet look underneath the laptop and see if there's a "if lost please return to" sticker :pac:

They had Hornswoggle disappear through a wall. This BS is at least part of the way there...

They could ask Shawn Michaels if he wants the role. It could suit him as it's purely a non-wrestling role, and wouldn't have to attend house shows, just the once a week Raw spot, so it would be a similar contract as Jerry Lawler has.

I would only like JR in the role if he's a heel!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

I just hope that it's not Cole.
I've no idea why they have Cole as the heel announcer over Lawler. It makes no sense. I don't hate him in the way you are supposed to hate heels. He just irritates me.
Lawler is a brilliant heel announcer. You disagree with him, but he still makes you laugh.

The PG ambiguity is really annoying.

Look at Matt Striker. He makes a good heel. Not great, but he'd be far better on Raw than Cole is. Not that I watch Smackdown. I don't like the way the crowd is dubbed over. I won't be told who to cheer and who to boo.

Sorry about the little rant there. Back to the topic at hand.
I'm going to go with Vince. He doesn't cost anything, and the Nexus took him out in the past.
Orton is all but a face at the moment, so heel Vince won't be happy about that. Vince comes back for a short run as a face, and Orton continues on with his Austin impersonation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Michaels did a Q&A video recently where he said he wasn't the Raw GM. Second question I think:

I doubt it will be Jim Ross too because they removed him from TV due to his look not fitting in with the image Vince wants.

My money is on Michael Cole or HHH. For more outlandish possibilities, perhaps JBL, Joey Styles or Batista.

Oh!!! I never thought of Batista! He'd be great as a heel GM. He was fantastic as a heel character before he "retired"!

It would be good if all that MMA talk was just to throw people off. Bit far-fetched though.

I too, believe it'll be Jericho that is the GM. I also reckon it'll be Jericho who leads a major storyline trying to figure out who the GM is before he shoots the crowd down and laughs at them for buying into his lies and how he had everyone believing what he wanted.

I watched some old stuff where Lawler is inexcusably in the corner of the likes of Hunter & Evolution, it still seems weird that he now champions the likes of Cena

When I started reading that sentence, I did not expect the "old stuff" to be about Evolution :D

Jerry Lawler has not been great for about a decade. Paul Heyman was so much better than Lawler when he stepped in during Lawler's Miss Kitty related exit.

Some other old stuff i watched included a tables match between Orton/Cena, a cage match between Jericho/Hart Dynasty and William Regal dressing up as Goldust

    Just a thought...

Mick Foleys book was pushed on Raw, and they must have him in high regard to do that. Him being in TNA and all.. and the fact that the book is called countdown to lockdown..

    But then with the interview popping up on wwe.com;
We all know that joey styles is over wwe.com and probably got the interview, but when it was brought up over who put up the book, foley acted oblivious.

So i was thinking, wwe could be giving us a clue by doing this.
Is it possible they have joey styles lined up for the role?

Think of it, he's the head of wwe.com, so it gives a reason to why a laptop, why an email etc.

OR even the chance of leaving it in limbo for the chance that when micks contract runs out with tna maybe he will go back to raw as the GM.

Either scenario would give an explanation for the book popping up on raw.

Or could be a complete coincidence and im just going way too CSI on the whole thing. cool.gif

Never sell Vince short. He's too much of an egomaniac. I have him and Stephanie as my top candidates because they both seem to love the spotlight.

I hate the idea of it being vickie.
    I really do.
Not that i dont think shes good in the role, but i just cant stand all her interactions with Edge in the past, and anymore would just send me over the edge. (no pun intended.. well maybe..)

    Imagine if it was...
