    Hi,

I would like to improve on my fitness levels. I was thinking of trying my hand at racquetball. I have never played it before and I was wondering if anyone here had any advice/tips for beginners?

    Hi

You may get more specific responses to your post on the Racquet Sports Forum

    Just a thought :)

Cheers! I suppose I should have searched through the forums a bit first before posting!

Just reckon that you may get more specific answers in that forum, though there may be folks on here who play racquet ball also.

I can move your post if you wish.

i would say racquetball is a great sport for fitness especially for beginners as the rally's last longer. its also a very addictive sport as it is great fun. its great for speed and general fitness. any advice i can give you would be maybe to try get a cheap racquet somewhere until you know if you'll stick to it. maybe 30 euro in some sports shops... also look up drills on youtube if you want to see ways to improve your game.

used to play some in college

get 2/3 people to play against that are of similar or better standard/fitness than you and play each once/twice per week. Its quite addictive

Not as good as handball for fitness, but a good starting block
