It is. I can't understand how it caught on for men and is accepted. If it wasn't for trying to land women on the dance floor, I would never dance, ever. Anyways, just needed to get that out there. :o

Eh you can dance if you want to! You can leave your friends behind. Because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance then they're no friends of mine......

    gay   /geɪ/ Show Spelled
    [gey] Show IPA
    adjective, -er, -est, noun, adverb
    –adjective
    1. having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music.
    2. bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments.
    3. given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season.

    Sounds about right to me.

Hardly a revelation. Its statistically proven that 94.8% of straight men feel the exact same.

Your feeling of uncomfortableness with dancing intimate a level of unease with your sexuality. In other words, you are gay.

    Dancing is FABULOUS.

Don't you ever tell me I'm gay!

No but for srs, ever think people might enjoy dancing, regardless of their sexuality? No?
    Oh, ok then.

Sometimes it's fun if you're schammered and the tunes are good. But I can never understand people who "go out dancing"

I thought that was just code for drinking, but apparently some ppl (mainly female) love to just go out and dance. WTF!?

Ah come on, stopped hinting I have a thing against homosexuals. Not the case at all.

Ballet dancing's very, very gay. Anyone who says otherwise is a male ballet dancer in the closet.

And most 'professional dancers' seem gay.

Some dancing suits men though - I think men suit breakdancing and, the polar opposite, Sean Nos dancing.

But that 'Pineapple Studios' shite does nothing to break the stereotype - you've never seen a bigger bunch of fairies

I only do it sometimes if real drunk. Does anyone over 21 actually score birds on dance floors these days?

In my single days there was nothing sexier then a man who could dance. A man with the right moves is not gay, he is going to score.

It is indeed rather gay...in saying that I used to feel the same way about making salads, that is until this man came along and changed everything :D

I was just watching a programme about hummingbirds. The males perform incredible mid-air dances to impress the ladies. While you're sitting there thinking "dancing is gay" there's a dancing hummingbird somewhere getting down to business with a fine looking lady.

Also these male hummingbirds have beautiful feathers. The ones with the brightest feathers get the ladies. That should be a lesson to anyone that thinks bright colours are gay.

Human beings have a twisted view of reality. Things like dancing and the colour pink are in no way gay. If humans were more like birds we might just have developed more interesting traits instead of worrying about what is or isn't gay.

I think its easier as a girl to pull of dancing without looking like a complete idiot.
Still, most people can just get away with a little hopping up and down thing...

Usually I don't enjoy dancing at all. If another guy wants to dance then fair ****s to him, but tbh when i see my male friends dancing usually it's cringeworthy (and it's not that they're worse at the actual dancing than the girls, it just looks really bad).

It's nothing to do with self confidence and it's not that i conciously decided i want to come across as manly, it just doesn't feel right. Jumping around/moshing i can do. But proper dancing is just wrong. I think i'd look/feel about as cool dancing as i would skipping down the street.

Dancing with a girl (in the kind of more old-fashioned sense) is ok though, a bit sappy but not totally robbing of one's dignity.
