how do i make normal songs into ringtones

as the title says
tried to follow a few videos on the net but the ring tone never shows up in the ring tone section on the phone

I downloaded an app called "ringtone designer" from iTunes. Works fine. You edit a sound clip with it, then save it to your desktop, and bring back into iTunes. There is a you tube link to a very good teaching clip within the app. Id defo recommend it.

very easy, just upload, pick the 30 seconds you want, download the 30 second clip, drag to iTunes, then sync

I'm not a fan of using third party programmes to do it. This might take a few more steps, but at least you're not adding bloat/risking dodgy software.

thats why i put up my link.
thers no software download at all, you do it all on their server.

it flies along most of the time but if the site is busy it can slow down a bit.

Garageband works fine for this if I remember correctly.
