    Hey all.
Suppose its been asked time and time again but (cue flaming) but I need help on definition. Diet improved: NO Alcohol, alot less sugar, fewer carbs, more fruit, brown bread (if at all, fewer spuds)

Working out now for +12 weeks doing 35 - 50k cycle at weekends, 2 x gym (4+k run, floor work (3 x 3 minutes skipping then plank, crunch, sit-up) then some weights, 1 heavy set then light reps on bench, Lat, curling bar & finished off with 40 lengths of 20 metre pool.

Plus other stuff during the week: rugby coach tennis, plus the odd swim

I've lost some weight (5ft 11 and 17st 2 now down to 16st 5) and aware that I'm weight training again so expect muscle gain (keeping it light for definition) but I cannot lose them damn handles ? Not sure what else I can do. They're slimmer so I guess, in time they'll go but it's getting demoralising...

was thinking of amino acid stuff but got no money for such things even if i knew what to buy!

any comments and help very much appreciated..

Ah love handles....i had them..then lost them, now have them back again

Reason being i had them cause i was fat, then i started working out and all that good stuff and i lost them...then went on holidays, gained 10lbs and those 10lbs split very nicely....5 to the left handle and 5 to the right handle...damn symmetry, working on them again and it's all just fat loss....get your HIIT together, shed the punds and they will go....dont make my mistake and let them back in....im nearly sure its harder the second time ;)

You should start a proper weights program, look at something like starting strength, just type it into google at it will bring up the site for you. Lift heavy in all the compound lifts like squats, deadlifts and the bench, make sure its heavy to as this will help with adding lean muscle, which burns more calories resulting in more fat loss in the long run. You say you're just adding 'definition' with low weights, all definition is is a drop in bodyfat% which exposes underlying muscle that is there.
