Only six games to go, is it?

Can't afford any slip up at home to Harps.

Three points coupled with a draw or away win between the Blades and Cork Foras would be nice. Waterford could hardly slip up again in Galway? :eek

Btw, love your sig Pure Cork. If god exists I doubt creating a football club that lasts twenty five years is showing off.

Saturday at 1 o'clock is such a **** time for a match. We've been playing ****e recently and this is the FAI Cup, so we'll probably lose.

Pretty weird time alright, wonder if Fingal will run a bus to Richer again!

As for Harps, well a win and nothing less will do.

Youths missing 4 key players for the visit of Salthill
Holden, Wolfe & Sheahan are suspeded and Danny Furlong has given up LOI football (apparently). Very thin on experienced players in the squad these days

Agree. Ridiculous time for a game. Still really looking forward to it. Nice to still be in the cup at this stage.

I guess both teams are heading into the game not at their best. Im hopeing Pats keep up their usual cup form though.

Brays exit from the cup means that they will now play Dundalk in a rearranged fixture in the Carlisle grounds on Monday evening with a 7:45 kick off.

Don't think so, only Extratimes text updates. Nothing is happening in the match anyway.

    http://www.extratime.ie/fixtures/detail/12388/1/

15' - Nothing has happened. Apologises for the lack of updates but that was the most boring 15 minutes of football in the Showgrounds this season.

    Sligo Rovers 1 - 0 Monaghan United
25' - Penalty - Alan Keane puts it into the bottom right. The keeper went the wrong way. Harsh peno.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

Extratime are woeful for updates they as well not be at the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭frantic190

    Sligo Rovers 2 - 0 Monaghan United
47' - Goal - Boco has given the home side a two goal lead immediately after the restart. Is two nil too steep a climb for Monaghan?

I think ET is improving, has a lot of potential.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭frantic190

90' - Goal - McGoldrick gets a third for Rovers. A typical strikers goal, nipping ahead of the defender to toe poke a volley over the keeper

Finished 3 nil, the top 4 are in the semi-finals!

    Shamrock Rovers
    Bohemians
    St. Pats
    Sligo

No easy draw for any team. I assume the draw is on monday on MNS?

yup both games down for a fri and sat with RTE showing one. Reckon the draw will be setup for Bohs rovers final. Altho attd wise i reckon Rovers Rovers would get more into the Aviva.

please god not another ****ing 1pm game!!!

I don't know why there's gonna be a draw cos it's obvious we're being drawn against Sligo Rovers! So just forget the draw and decide when we play and when Shams/Bohs play.

I think we've played Sligo about 107 times so far this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

    Bohs v Pats
    &
    Shams v Rovers

Will probably be the semis. The FAI will want Bohs and Shams in the final for obvious reasons.

The same Bohs that - as a club with a decent chance of winning their third title on the trot and in the semi finals of the cup - are drawing 800+ to home games? And Pats after today's attendance?

Sligo would probably bring more than both of them combined to the final.

    Pats v Bohs

No chance. Sligo and Rovers will bring the best crowds to Landsdowne while the derby will bring out more too. Therefore the draw will be:

    Sligo v Bohs
    Rovers v Pats

The conspiracy theorist might suggest that the
cash strapped FAI need a Bohs/Rovers final.

Not so far fetched at all.

    I predict
    Bohs home to Sligo
    Rovers home to Pats

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

Another conspiracy would be a team with Nissan on its jersey not getting to the Ford FAI cup final :D

Dont mind who or where get, assuming we finish ahead of Fingal we gauranteed Europe.

Oh one of the games is friday 7:45, other is 3:15 on the sunday that has us written all over it.

oddly we have only ever won one FAI cup semi in richmond (4-3 vs Bohs)

Honestly think a Rovers\Sligo final would be the biggest crowd puller at this time.

That said, you could get a lot more neutrals going too. I finally stopped attending Ireland matches after this year's debacles so I would have been going to have a look at the Aviva, not matter who was in the final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

We would get between 4-5k assume Bohs the same, Sligo should get more as the whole village would come out for it.

But if rumours are true and its €40 quid a ticket the FAI can **** right off, altho not something i will have a problem with :pac:
