Then go to the retailers section. Check their websites, and if they don't have one listed most will be more than happy to source one for you.

    Hi Mockler007

Just to say Moggsers gear is always top notch with no problems.:)
His ad states that his MP7 has only been test fired as it was an impulse buy!;)
He is also a great guy to deal with.

Theres no need to be sarcastic. You asked where to get one, theres two places, second hand - which you rejected, or a shop.

I'm pretty sure AEG's dont grow on tree's.

Well you did turn up here and ask people to do your searching for you, which is either lazy or ignorant. I know for sure that at least one two of the Irish retailers has the MP7 listed as available on their site.

You should take the time to do some legwork yourself before you come here looking for help.

I'm only going to say this once because it's clear to see the frustration of other posters, here and elsewhere, with your replies.
The style of your posts is highly abrasive. Adding a footnote like "think of me like father ted" does not give you carte blanch to post in a manner that aggravate those that would try to help.

You asked where you could get one, and you were given the two options; buy one, immediately available, on Adverts, or go to a shop and purchase one there.
In the former, you claim (for whatever bizarre reason) that you "don't do secondhand", in the latter, you offer no explanation (beyond sarcasm) as to why you don't want to go to a store.
    I believe what Stercus was getting at, above, was not to provide "epic vids", but to offer the third option;
If you don't want to buy one from a store or from Adverts, go make one instead of giving sarcastic replies that, clearly, have bugged everyone that has taken the time to answer your question.

I wouldn't say that. I bought a TM a few years ago which has seen plenty of successful use. The low battery voltage of the EX packs it uses leaves something to be desired in rate of fire/trigger response, but punches above it's weight otherwise. An adaptor is available to use regular mini packs as external batteries, solving that issue, but you'd really need to look into some gearbox upgrades to match if you're going that route.
The problem is mainly with the Well/Galaxy clones, which tend to be awful. I've had no experience, beyond anecdotal, with the KSC, but reports are decent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,170 ✭✭✭✭ED E

TM+Upgrades are very expensive, but deadly, I believe it was Masada who had a pair at the warehouse before, but I'm not 100% though, long time ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

I keep meaning to investigate doing mine, but it's not used enough anymore to warrant dropping a hundred smackers on a few parts to tart it up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,763 ✭✭✭Airsoft Reloded

I have to admit I wasen't aware of the potential upgrades, all I have ever seen of them has been (as dex said) poor response and slow fire. Coupled with weak power and a general feel of crap.

I take it back anyway, (always ask the tech heads).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,502 ✭✭✭defenderdude

While I'd say MOST MP7's are crap (well and galaxy) I gotta say the TM's rock. They are expensive but they are worth it.

The KWA/KSC GBB's are mega but I'm put off by the whole gas mag/cost thing. Batteries are easier. I've one which is stock appart from a tightbore which will outrange many "upgraded" full size aeg's.

As a back-up I think they are brilliant. I would have scoffed at them before I actually got one and started using it. I often use it as my primary with a shotty as a back-up. ROF and FPS are only half the battle...

I learned the hard way how good they can be - by totally underestimating their effectivness and getting nailed by guys with just "a pistol"...:o:D
Try out a good one before deciding if they are for you or not.

i Didn't ask to do my searching for me, my god please read my first post, i asked advice from users of the mp7, !!
why reply to a thread when your not,

The problem with the airsoft forum is that it has so many subsections that nothing gets posted on the front page, and anything that does, regardless of quality or interest languishes on the front page for weeks.

Airsoft questions or Airsoft technical would both have suited this, WTF is the front page for anyway?

I ask because this train wreck has been staring me in the face since its been posted every time I log on.

    Fair nuff.

As an MP7 owner, I can tell you you have 3 options. Most people have touched on them already.
    • Gas Blow-back (GBB) - the more expensive, and more demanding (cleaning, maintenance) route, but GBB guns are the coolest when you fire them. Moggser has his second hand, and Eirsoft is selling them as well.
    • TM AEG - what I have. This is at first glance underpowered (270fps) but has TM's excellent quality internals which will make up for it, and it has the best battery change system there is. Airsofteire stock the TM MP7. It is pricey, and people here will debate all day whether it is worth it. I have one, and I like it.
    • Other AEG - I believe Well do one. It's a lot cheaper than the TM, but there is a reson for that. When I bought my MP7 18 months ago they had a **** reputation and retailers wouldn't stock them/warned me away from them. I don't know if things have changed.
    Advice from an owner :)

And as Stercus said this would have been better in the questions section.

agree with wht is said her, i have one a good while, 2 years now and its excellent, though if you buy it get some mag brand midcaps tm hicaps are crap and tm midcaps are horrfically priced

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,140 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

I'd have to say the only way is the TM version. although as stated it has low fps and sounds like a cricket having a fart, the range is that of any rifle I've met. Rate of fire is low enough but this is a tool for CQB enviroments.

I have to say its the one piece I will never sell and may start upgrading to higher rate of fire.

Accuracy and range as the two big sell points and its impressive beyond description. The piece does have feeding issue on semi auto and sometimes on full auto but I tend to overlook it as a minor flaw.

Mag brand midcaps are the only way to go for reliability.

I'm going to try get myself setup with some sort of setup to make me use the kit more, with some sort of proper sling and mag holding rig, at the moment I just dump everything into a pouch.

For the price aswell, a mere €250, it probably the best CQB piece I've seen in the game.

I'm either going mental and imagining things that I think I've remembered imagining ... or else I've seen drop-leg units for extended (i.e. the siccle-shape sort) mp7 magazines. When I get a GBB mp7 sorted, I'll be looking into similar

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 988 ✭✭✭evilrobotshane

I use these for the extended mags and they're grand; the lip on the mag can catch a little but not enough to be a problem. I have one of those sling swivel add-ons and a Magpul Multi-Mission sling which I'm not crazy about, but one-point is probably the way to go alright.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

Have you had look at a Chalker Molle sling , simple to use and clips on to any molle vest/platform

A word of warning to others reading this. Not all MP5 mag pouchs will take MP7 mags. Best to check before purchasing if you can.

I always use a Laylax Satellite bungee sling. Utterly brilliant for an MP7. Attached with one of these sling swivels instead of the built-in plastic rear sling-points as I found them to be pretty weak and preferred to have the central sling-point for easy transition to my other hand when needed.
Only downside of the bungee sling is the pretty weak carabiner on it ( unless they've changed it since I bought mine ), but that can be replaced very easily. I put an ickle titanium one on mine.

Best dump pouch IMO for extended MP7 mags is the rolypoly mini dump pouch. Keeps it out of the way until needed, very low profile when folded, still pretty small even when opened. Perfect shape for MP7 long mags.

I'd agree with what's been said about the TM mags. They're not great. STAR or MAG midcaps are the way to go. I normally use STAR 100rd midcaps and have been using them trouble free for years.
