Would you recommend going to a fitness bootcamp, need some motivation and just wondering will it be worth the money/time for the two days a week, am i better off jogging/walking or will i see results, any advice?

I'm doing one at the moment. Honestly? The workout is brilliant, but it's not designed for anyone out of shape. First night, we did 70 lunges. That was 3 weeks ago, and my leg is still sore from it, despite stretching it out every day.

As far as my limited experience goes, Boot Camps are for people who are in good physical condition looking to tone up.

I bumped into a guy on Clonea beach in Dungarvan , Waterford, the other day and I think he had a great idea. He's doing beach workouts for all levels of fitness. He's planning to do it, I think, 3 or 4 days a week year round. €5 a session and you turn up when you want. The guys doing it are all ex military.

I'm going to try it out next week. I like the idea of not paying a huge amount to some of the smelly gyms I've been to.

Really depends on the quality of the instructor, as you could find one that's brilliant, another that's not so much. I'd suggest giving them a call, and seeing how you feel. You might be able to do a trial session before committing.
