    Hi there

I need to drop a few pounds between now and next Wednesday!

In a nutshell I am being taken on a fabulous holiday and want to look my best. I'm not overweight but I have a bit of a belly I'd like to get rid of. The thing is I love my food.... I don't think I could do one of those shake diet thingies.

I don't need to lose a lot but I want to do it in a way that's healthy.

Probably cutting back on carbs would help....

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

    From the rules
    4.
There will be zero-tolerance of any pro-ana topics, discussions of pharmaceutical weight-loss aids or crash dieting. This forum is to promote healthy and varied eating - not to advise you in how to drop a stone in a week.

There are several threads already like this with sound advice in them. Please keep discussion sensible and withing the rules, anything over 2lb per week fat loss is very inadvisable.

    No problem.

I am not looking to lose a lot and did not know this forum existed which is why it has been moved.

Thanks wonkagirl - what would you recommend for dinner/lunches. Chicken (no skin) and salad? Omlettes?

Good luck with your weight loss :)

yeah, chicken salads, omelettes, that kind of thing.. i had a brown scone for breakfast this am and it'll be my only bit of bread/pasta/etc until after the hols!

also, a friend told me about the 'Castor oil pack' method:

Basically you soak a tea towl in castor oil, put it on your belly, wrap cling film around it and put a hot water bottle on it and its really effective for cleansing and cleaning the small intestine and whole general area there. My friend does these for three nights in a row and says she literally does GROSS ALERT LOOK AWAY NOW the most vile smelling poo's cos it moves all old stuff. I just googled it there and it seems to be the real deal and has been marked as safe and effective by health authories.

Bear in mind that even if you do an amazing diet and look fabulous by Wednesday, you are going on holidays. There will be wonderful food and lots of booze.

You might be better off shopping for great clothes to flatter your figure as it is now.
