Airport/WIFI is frustrating me!! Any help out there?

    Hello Maccers, I have a macbook and I have recently gotten wireless broadband at home. The trouble is my WIFI connection is sooooooo slow!!! and sometimes it doesn't work at all, It's pretty frustrating and I just don't have the 'tech' head for these kinds of problems. Is this a common problem with macs, i can't imagine it is. Please help.

    Macs connect at the same speed as every wifi device.

    Go to speedtest.net and run the test while on wifi. Then wire the computer to the router with a network cable and re-run speed test. Should show if the bottleneck is the wifi or your Internet connection.

    I'd say your wireless channel setting needs changing.
