When I registered I did experience problems however it was different to what you are encountering.

Your best bet is to call the registry on Monday and lodge a fault. Depending on how busy they are it may take a while for them to answer. They will call you back when the fault is resolved.

yeah, I'm trying to register now, and I'm having that same problem
I don't know what it is. I'm just going to try later

I had a problem with mine, i tried to log onto my portal page, i was told my username was incorrect (despite it being correct for the last 2 years) and it let me log in anyway, i hit register and a grey screen appears saying invalid information

so i rang the registry, they forwarded me to CSD (or is it ISS?) and they took my username etc and said they'd call me back. they never did but the problem was fixed an hour later.

so keep trying or give the registry a call

I'm trying to use my laser to pay the fee which is 38 euro over the transaction limit. Fired off an email asking if I can pay in 2 separate transactions.

same here, going to give them a shout now. this registration process is a royal pain in the arse

right just off the phone with them (after a lllooooonnnnnggg wait) and it seems that the "BLOCK ALL REGISTRATIONS" is some kind of block that the fees office has in place - you will need to ring them to get it removed.

I got no explanation as to why they have done this, could be because i'm a mature student or something but either way its absolutely crazy that they are knowingly blocking registrations for no particular reason

My problem is that it says I'm currently not registered for anything (I'm going into year two of a part time course).

I've emailed them and they told me to ring, I rang and I got transferred around until finally I've left a message where the optimistic voice says they're busy and to wait two days for a reply. They're a bit of a shambles (not just in this area).

I think I have until the end of the week to pay. I'm thinking I'll have to go in.

    This registration is a disaster!!
I e-mailed the fees office and they were very quick to reply.
They really should have been more clear about having to pay the fee first.

What do we need to print off to get our student card?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 204 ✭✭A racy brainrot

I think it's the bottom, the " E-payment payment receipt details"

From my portal page this evening:

Online registration will be unavailable 14th September between 8am and 10am due to essential maintenance.

Also the link to the registration page is gone for now.

It was showing my modules for last year when I tried to register. Hopefully the maintenance tomorrow fixes it.

i also had the problem "block all registrations" jesus the whole thing is complicated, they surely could have made an easier layout

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 89 ✭✭Pred192

Well I called yesterday and they said it was blocked because they still did not receive confirmation that i'm an EU citizen (I put down American) they got the letter and said it was unblocked. Went to go and register today and got the same problem :( called and got disconnected several times and finally when i got through they said "we will send this through to the registration team you should get an email in the next 24hrs if not email them again".

    What a joke

Anyone still experiencing this? It's been happening to me the last couple of days and I rang registry today who referred me to ring another number where I left a message and got no response yet.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 3,073 ✭✭✭mickoneill30

Does anybody have a number to ring that isn't just transferred to voicemail?

Do you know when the fees are due by? I'm thinking Friday but I'm not sure where I got that from.

yeah it did, the problem was the fees status.. i had to pay 60% of my fees before than they unblocked it for me...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 madiha

    hii sorry for late reply..
yeah ring the fees office and than press 5.. u will be able to talk an agent.. expalin to him/her and than they will tell u.

main problem is the fee status, my fee staus has been resolved, so thats why they unblocked my account... also we have to pay 60% of our fees and only than they will allow us to register.. good luck

well the best thing is to contact the fees office and talk to someone there.. if you ring the registry office, they will switch you to someone in fee office. hope it works..

    Here it is :)

    Dear Students,

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with online registration for students who have just sat their August Resits. We will contact you to confirm when Online registration will be available for those who have successfully passed all August resits.

Students who have not passed their August resits and will be returning as repeat students will not be registering online and should complete the R34 form (available from the Registry website) and come to the Street on the 29th of September between 9.30 and 14.00 to have this processed.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. I would like to reassure students that this affects only students who have recently sat August resits.

The online registration will be open beyond the 17th of September to allow for this delay and final date of registration will be confirmed when the problem has been rectified.

    Kind regards,

    Niamh McMahon

I've paid and registered (presume it went through ok!) but my portal page hasn't been up dated and my modules haven't appeared on my moodle page yet. I paid my fee's last Friday.

Anyone know why this might be? I've sent registry an email too earlier today but haven't heard back from them yet!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,152 ✭✭✭carlowboy

Apparently I have to pay €3671?? Surely registration doesn't cost that much?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 534 ✭✭✭Benny Lava

Registration has been extended a week because of the difficulties with the online system. These difficulties have been rectified according to an email, but mine is still fooked up. I have to wait until next week to pick my subjects.

    Balls.

I've got ya beat, it's charging me €3928.4. I presume it's because I repeated last year and it's still charging me full fees.

Beat you all, €4004, it just decided to reset itself to that after reg went offline, couldn't get through to the fees office all day so I'm assuming they can live with me going in to them on monday?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,354 ✭✭✭Urizen

I'm not sure they're open Monday. That mail they sent out was quite unclear.

Hell with it, I'm around all week from 9 anyway, I'll just keep going over till its sorted.
