Help with 3 broadband speed

    Hi,

    I got a 3 dongle and repeater on trial. The speed is terrible with or without the repeater. In fact the repeater doesn't make any difference whatsoever. I have since handed back the dongle and repeater. At present I am using a landline with the up to 7mb package from vodafone. I am getting around 5.92 constant.

    Money is an issue for me and as I have a mobile phone, I mainly use the landline for broadband. I would love to get rid of the landline, and if it were possible I'd love to go with mobile broadband. While I had the 3 dongle and repeater I was often just getting .3 of a meg, and on rare occasions it would go up to around 1mb. I naturally contacted 3 support. But was more than disappointed when they told me that if I got anything over .5 mb they were happy, which of course in my eyes is useless.

    I also used the vodafone dongle on trial. With that the most I got was 1.5mb.

    I am fully aware that mobile broadband is not as good as fixed line, but I would be very hapy if I could get a constant around 2.5mb from either.

    Is their any outdoor repeater or antenna that actually works, and would give me this speed or thereabouts????
