    Smyths:

€49.99, will be €44.99 for the first week for anyone with a loyalty card

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,983 ✭✭✭mystic86

how easy is it to get a loyalty card, how do I do it?

Saw a sign in HMV saying 44.99 for pre-order price, incl free tshirt/top. Although the price did have an asterix next to it to say that the price may change.

Would be good to check a price for this with Tesco im nearly sure they do a special price for the first week of release like they do with PES(was €30 I think) and did for Modern Warfare 2, also if your up north Sainsburys do have big releases for £25 sometimes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,024 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

Tesco will most likely be the cheapest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Most places will do special prices for the 1st week of release.
Agree with cheapest will probably be Tesco but no freeebies.
I'd say Xtravision will have the usual FREE Football with it.
Game & Gamestop I'm sure will have extra trade in specials for it.

Don't mean to rub people up the wrong way, but I'm not sure if this belongs here. Probably would be better suited in the Bargain Request forum. Just a thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,983 ✭✭✭mystic86

its both requesting info and giving info... more so giving info. Also, in the request section its less likely to be seen and more likely that we will get multiple threads on the same topic.

Coolshop £33.97 or €41.33 by xe.com (actual exchange rate will be higher)

thanks, coolshop, I've never heard of them... anyone have any experience buying from these?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,931 ✭✭✭Zab

Ordered from them loads of times, no problems so far but I've never had to send anything back or test their support.

The last few big release titles I bought I made a point of going to the north and getting them in ASDA for 32pounds although the exchange rate is not as good now. I know that HMV in Sligo generally have the best trade in prices for me so trade in as a deposit as a pre order may be the way to go.

HMV will probably have it as part of their "Deal of the week" and price it at €45 for a week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

    €45 would be £36.
    £32 would be €40.
Coolshop is £34 postage included about €43.

If buying online postage would need to be included.
I'd say Irish shops will have all their offers in the papers the week of release.

Asda at moment pre order £38.91 Free delivery, on their website.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

It's a bit more expensive but I thought some of you might be interested in this.

That is a bit expensive imo. Not worth it for a voucher.

Do Coolshop add on any charges for delivery to Ireland? It's £34.99 there now.
Next best option would probably be Sendit at £35.89

Anyone know of deals in Irish stores?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

I'd be amazed if Tesco isn't the cheapest.
Wait until week/days before launch, all the offers should be out then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,321 ✭✭✭Jackobyte

Tesco usually have it for €35 on release day only. I think that is what they did for 09 and 10.

Out Friday but early indications taken off ps3prices.co.uk

    Online:
Cheapest Tesco £33.74 Use code FTSL15-1
    Zavvi £34.85, Sendit.com £34.89, the hut £34.93
    Amazon £35.93 Asda £35.93 Play.com £37.99
    Argos £36

HMV in RoI will be €45.99

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,024 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

Tesco don't ship here, don't think the English Argos site does either. Amazon usually price match the cheapest site a day before release

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭peejay1986

For anyone near a Morrisons in the north. I've heard they'lll be selling the game for £27.99 on launch day. Not 100% but I've heard it from a number of people now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,772 ✭✭✭johnn

Did anyone ask in a Tesco store?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Seeing as they have a B&M presence here, they shouldn't need to.
I'd guess the Tesco price will be €40 for a week, rest of the stores here will probably be €45 for the 1st week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭silverwex

Great stuff, cant wait for this game! Thanks! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

HMV €45 - if you trade in any one of F1 2010, Dead Rising 2 or Mafia II -
    it will cost €7.99.
So if you can get one of those for under €35

Game.co.uk have it for £40, Game ROI said it would be about "€50".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

According to a UK Website the consensus is for the 1st week it will be between £25 and £30 in the UK Supermarkets.

Spoke to Tesco, they are coming in to the stores later today, so they couldn't tell me a definate price yet... they did indicate it could be 10 or 15 euro cheaper..

ad on the radio this morning said Smyths were doing FIFA 11 Free when you trade in 2 selected games "check website for details" ... of course there's nothing on their website about it (yet) ...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Asda online is sold out of PS3 & Xbox versions.
Asked in Tesco today and system showing up as €59.99 .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,396 ✭✭✭Fingleberries

HMV say "from €7.99*" - if you trade in one of three new games (I can't remember, but I think F1 2010, Halo Reach and something else).

Its probably already on here somewhere but Gamestop are advertising it for around €45

Also you get an extra 10% off everything at CD Wow with these guys which makes it €47.99

Think it will be Gamestop for me as dont wanna wait for delivery etc. but have bought couple of DVDs off the CD Wow thing.. PS entourage is probably the most addictive show ever!! :D
