I feel as if I'm not having a proper diet though.

Long story short, two months ago, I was advised by my doctor to lose some weight to relieve some of my conditions and so far it has worked. I didn't check every week but I'm down about a stone in two months. I'm delighted, but I don't feel it! I still have the flab but that's to be expected, right?

    01/07/10

    Age 18
    • Weight: 14st 4lb
    • Height: 5'8
    • BMI: 30.4
    02/09/10
    • Weight: 13st 3lb
    • Height: "
    • BMI: 28.8

    Typical diet:

Breakfast: Bowl of Alpen in the morning with low fat milk

Lunch: Two brown bread sandwiches with weight watchers tuna (the one with tomato paste) with two boiled eggs mixed together

Dinner: Grilled meat with veg and some potatoes. No grease, ketchup maybe.

I'll deviate from that but it's normally something like that. I eat slowly too and drink plenty throughout the day.

What am I doing wrong? I don't feel like i've lost it and don't feel healthier, but I can see improvements

EDIT: Adding that I don't exercise as often as I should but that'll change once i'm in college.

Do you want to loose more weight or just tone up??? If you want to tone up more and loose more "fat" you need to reduce the amount of cabs you eat...

Porridge or eggs would be way way way better than Alpen, its full of sugar!!!

4 slices of bread for lunch is excessive, bulk it up with salad and maybe two slices but unless you are doing serious physical labour daily 4 slices is too much if you want to loose more weight / tone up!!!

You need more vegetables in your diet!!! Fruit is good too :D

I'm looking to get slimmer and tone up my body. I'm getting smaller but still have the belly and moobs to show for it! :P

Thanks a million for the suggestion. What would you suggest for a breakfast, maybe boiled eggs?

I love fruit but the only thing is, nobody else in the house eats it so it ends up going off because I can't eat the apples/oranges in time :(

Good progress so far and eggs for breakfast is always a good option or natural yogurt with some nuts and berries thrown in or oats with berries and some nuts.

You are not going to 'tone' up much without a proper weights program so have a look at this and it might show you were you are going off track - Fat loss 101 -

Put the fruit in the bottom drawer of the fridge and it will last longer. A piece of fruit instead of all the bread at lunch would be a good start i.e. less bread and a piece of fruit instead

Could you mind giving me a sample brekkie, lunch or dinner then? I like the ideas on this forum but I don't know how to put any of them into practise - does it depend on each person's height/weight/amount they wish to lose? :)
