Today I got a letter from Total Fitness re renewing membership at Clarehall. It says that if you pay before the end of the month I will qualify for a discounted membership rate of €598. Are they having a laugh!!!! Almost €600 for equipment that is 13 years old, a hydropool that is frequently coolish and management which don't know customer service. Anybody else got a letter like this? It brought a smile to my face anyways

Ah good old total fitness! ha!

The Hydropool and Main Pools which both double as Ice Cold Plunge Pools.
The Steamrooom that... em... never has steam.
The free weights section, where theres never a free weight or bench.
The changing rooms which smell and are over crowded.
Why wouldnt ya wanna pay €600 for the ancient equipment!?! :pac:

I move to Northwood about two years ago, LOVE IT!
    Nice newish equipment...
    Lots of weights...
    Spotless Changing Rooms...
    Hot Showers...
    Hot Pool...
    Hot Steamrooms...
    Millions of Threadmills...
Quite in the mornings. (Jesus avoid in evenings!)
    LOVE IT :D

That about hits the nail on the head.. Damn hydrotherapy pool is annoying the hell out of me lately.

OP, play hardball on that figure. Without too much hassle you should get them down to €499 and with a little more effort €450. I almost choked the manager and got it for less again.

i know i'm paying 63 a month. Its a joke think i'm gonnna leave- its just so handy for me though. They are useless. All the personalTrainers that operated in the Gym are gone and they have there own guys doing this work. The Management are a pain aswell

I wrote back a letter saying what I think of Total Sh*tness in Clarehall. I don't know where I will go but even if I have to pay good money as long as I have good (not ancient) equipment in a good and clear environment and with management who care even after you pay the membership fee that will do me!

Btw I just want to punch that carboard copy of that prick Des Daly when I go in the door. How annoying and patronizing!

Btw guys. The only reason why people are staying at Total Sh*tness in Clarehall is handiness from what I hear and I understand that. If you don't have a car and you live in Belmayne nearby then u don't have much choice but to stick with it as there is not much around (Are u listening Ben Dunne!)! Thankfully I am one of the lucky ones who can.
