    What an incredibly original idea.
Where do they get such fresh concepts from?

What a load of crap. I watched a few minutes and switched it off after that culchie chap dropped his trousers in front of the lord mayor. A blatant rip off of a show that was on Sky One in the mid nineties.

    Orange pilled.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,089 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

Those veteran Sky programmes were far better than this. This is just awful. It's just showing several groups drinking and dancing on a night out... Wow. Could they not follow one group for their whole holiday or at least try to make this programme interesting?

As for the people involved, it's clear they are acting up for the camera.

Shocking stuff. Everything is wrong with this show.

This show is very informative. I didn't realise Irish people got drunk when they went on holidays. Quite frankly I'm shocked

I just had a debate with my house mates and girlfriend on whether the people on this show would have got paid. I dont think they would have got anything personally. Maybe a hundred quid each if anything.

My house mates think they would have had there holiday paid for by TV3 and that people would want to be paid for the hassle of a camera crew following them.

My opinion is that there are 1000's of 20 somethings who would gladly do it for free to get on TV.
IMO: TV crew arrive at location, ask four guys/girls do they want to be filmed on their holiday, Guys/Girls jump at chance. TV3 make cheap(in both senses of the word) show.

    They highly disagree.

    Anyone else have an opinion?

    @darrenh

I doubt they got paid, they all look like they love the attention and it porb got the 'lads' attention on their nights out! bit of a laugh for them etc.

It seems that that is how the show was made since there was no pre-holiday footage of the groups.

Not the most attractive Irish people they could have chosen. Obviously not much class on them too but the show wouldn't be what it is otherwise

Ah now less of that! In my brain I don't get older I just get more awesome! Thank you Barney Stinson

id prefer the stuff i do not to be shown on tv

The irony of course is that holidays abroad are significantly down this year.

I really failed to see the point of this show. They added in statistics about binge drinking and this type of thing, yet it seemed to me like they glorified drinking (not that I have any issue with people getting drunk on holidays and enjoying themselves).

Pretty shambolic production. I would like to see a decently made documentary on one or two groups.

Havent watched it but seen the promo for it.
    Riviting stuff.
Absolutely toilet tv. Real low budget crap, worse than big brother and the likes.
Next they'll have a spin off: Boozed up Irish at home. Filmed entirely in Temple bar on a saturday night in November.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,397 ✭✭✭Paparazzo

Remember on Ibiza uncovered they kept showing a 2 second clip of a girl flashing/skinny dipping/wet t-shirt or something and telling us it's after the break? They would do this at the start of the show and before each ad break (there was about 3-4 ad breaks). All the blokes would watch because Lisa I'anson would lead us to believe that the party got wild and everyone got naked.
But in part 4, all the blokes are thinking "finally", after watching 50 minutes some cockney's paella restaurant and some idiot DJ looking for work, finally we'll get to see the debauchery. But the 2 second clip they showed at the start of the show actually is the entire clip.

    Eurotrash FTW

There was a interview in one of the Sunday Magazines with the TV3 head, he said he came in 2008 and that he admits TV3 was trash tv and he was:o and then went on to say that it has changed:rolleyes:

I said they were better, they were still terrible. But at least they had running storylines and had some structure.

Not for great viewing but funny to watch them making an arse of themselves. Its no different to what happens to us Irish folk here though just a milder version as in we try not to get caught by the gardai unlike the fella in booze up irish abroad. Think the couple should have holidayed seperately, have an all boys and all girls holiday or else the couple should have gone off on their own holiday together, your man would be less likely to stray. Thought he was acting like a pr1ck towards his gf. Shame on him. Say their beer goggles got in the way with their sense. Made me feel old to watch the likes of them. I have never been on a boozy holiday like that so hopefully won't sucum to that malarky.

I thought Johnny was very easy on the eye and the only interesting character on the show. Hence he's received the most attention on this.

Well, at least it beats having my sister watching the X Factor, The Hills or any other of that crap. It may be reality, but...you know what, I've got nothing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 373 ✭✭LETS BE AVN IT

I quite enjoyed the show ,it was very Bravo but I love watcn people make a show of themselves , It shows what really goes on in those places I thought it could be a bit wilder tbh . Should be very intresting on how they show a group of Irish girls n hols not all innocent gals anymore ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32 superspark

i loved the way johnny wouldn't let one of the girls into the toilet but he had no problem letting the camera man stand there recording, pure bull**** as usual, nothing you wouldn't see most saturday nights in ireland, apart from the drink wouldn't be watered down as much

ya mean to tell me that tool is in college??? when you see him, run up kick em up the hole and tell him he's a big steamer, pierced nipples and all. typical dope who batters a few muppets in college and he's now a legend in his own mind. Guarantee you he wouldnt be such a hard man if it was a bloke sticking his head into that fat nut of his.

and all them other eejit Oasis wannabe's. what is it about Ireland, can we not just rise above all that crap and leave it to the english. It's like one upmanship, hey you're all a disgrace, bet we can be even worse. We have fallen so far in my opinion. Now we know where TV3 programs come from, ITV2 writers. Sure look at any crappy jedward, Xfactor, My boobs and Me ****e!! all ITV2 then all on TV3 the next nite. Poxy channel

to be fair the dublin lads were very funny compared to the boggers on the rest of the programme i think that johnny lad thought he was straight out of d4
