Random and not sure if anyone is a member or joined (gym is a ladies gym in Briarhill) or anything but i just got an email advising the gym was closing with immediate affect...does anyone else know about this?

it says the following....

"Due to very difficult market conditions and with great regret we have to announce the closure of the club effective immediately. All direct debit members should contact their bank asap to cancel their dd.

We have arranged for ALL dd and cash memberships to be transferred to the ladies only facility at HipKids/LadiesGym www.theladiesgym.com in Briarhill just behind our club where they will be honoured"


so does that sound like my DD is just transferred to this other gym? ill give them a call in the morning anyway but they took my membership out on friday under Energie out on friday!!!

I don't think (at least I hope) they can't transfer a DD like that - I think you should call your bank first thing tomorrow.

god thats bad, i cancelled my dd few months ago cos hubbie lost his good job, i know the girls in there id say they are crushed, when i got mine cancelled i had to sign a form to stop the money going out every month, does this mean that they have shut the door and locked it on friday? just go to your bank and get it cancelled. i knew there was trouble there when a man answerd the fone , he usualy has the evening classes , then when i pass in the car there be not many cars out side it like it was when i was there, its sad to hear that:(

i guess all i can do is give hipkidz a call tomorrow and see what they say...i dont really mind if they have organised and done all that..
ill ring them first and see if my account is valid with them and if not ill be ringing the bank very quickly!!
