I think he is in his valedictory phase. Its hard to see him toiling away like this for another six years until the Seniors.

I can't see it happening either.

    BUT

Thinking of the Seniors - this current run of form - is there a chance he may not be able to compete at Senior level if one assumes that the only way hes likely to go is downward - based on CURRENT form

Old diesel give up on the Asian will you, it's not going to happen.
Also don't worry about seniors tour, standard is so poor Monty did very little the 8 years before senior and was still able to pick 2 majors in his first year.

Here is the whiff the I was talking about before..... forgot to notice it was a left handed shot :D

Paddy was talking about the above incident on his FB today...
I pulled my drive but it managed to stay up on the edge of the water, but I was only able to play it left handed. While I was deciding what to do, I accidentally grounded my club in the hazard and then to add insult to injury, when I did go to play left handed I had a “fresh air” shot. After all my messing around I finished the hole with an 8!

His ball didn't appear to be inside the hazard so not sure what is the story about the 2 stroke penalty for grounding the club. Perhaps the hazard line was back out of camera view?

Perhaps he ground it to keep his balance?

The red stake behind him is about 2 feet in from the hazard so the line between it and the next one probably left his ball within the hazard.

Ah I see that stake now at the top left alright... perhaps the red line where Paddy was hitting from is just not being picked up by the camera. I'm sure that was an extra kick in the b*lls for him.

Great comeback with back to back birdies on 14 and 15, hopefully a solid finish in store.

Followed by a bogey, naturally. :(

-3 leaves him tied 18th at the moment. A par or better round tomorrow and he should easily make the cut.

Great recovery from Harrington after I stopped watching last night. Good man. In nice shape now, and will hopefully make the cut without worries.

Sounds like a nice rounds - and very pleasing that he recovered after setbacks - that's particularly pleasing

There's a live stream on the pga tour website, think it's just focused on one hole, but that was the one Harrington just eagled. Par 5, he was pin high left in two and hit a brilliant chip out of the cabbage. Went in with a little pace but never anywhere else!
