Creatine: Pills or Powder?

Which is better (ie. more effective)? I used pills for a few weeks and saw some good results but a few have told me that powder is better?

Anyway, I'm nearly finished the bottle of pills and before I buy anything I just want to find out which is better for size. I'm looking to build up. I'm told that the purer the creatine, the more effective it is? Any specific supplements anyone can recommend?

Powder will usually be cheaper, you are just paying extra for it to be processed into pills. The powder might absorb a bit faster into your system, like dissolving disprins etc. but the difference between them would be negligible as I don't think it is really an immediate effect scenario like a headache tablet. Your training & other factors would have far more effect.

It is like lads saying they got "better results" using whey protein X instead of whey protein Y, but they would probably laugh at somebody claiming better results changing from O'Kane chicken fillets to Manor farm.

I think pills are mainly used by those who hate the grainy salty taste.

Plain creatine monohydrate is what you want and the rest of the decision comes down to personal preference after that...just price per kg and what premium you put on your preference for capsules etc.

Best creatine Ive used has been the stuff called Storm by Universal. Also best value for money Ive found. The Optimum Nutrition stuff CGT-10 is also good Ive found. Ive used pills before too, but I didnt really get much outta them. That mightve just been me though

Why do you chose monohydrate over ethyl ester (leaving out price)? I know that more studies have been done on monohydrate but do they prove its better?

Anyone else used this? Looked at a few reviews online and so far so good.

Is it available anywhere in south Dublin?

A 10% difference on something that might only give you a 5% benefit isn't really worth it tbh. CEE tastes like sh!te too.

I'll give you the straight answer...creatine works...it's cheap and it's simple...the only way for supplement manufactures to make any money from it is to ghey it up. The same as fat burning supplements...take a look at most of them and you'll find 50-150mg of caffeine....this is because caffeine works...like creatine it is cheap as can be...so what they do is take base products like creatine and caffeine and add a tonne of other 'stuff' to justify charging you 10 times the price of the base product.

Yeah, I take one serving about 45 minutes before workout and one serving post workout. I add some dextrose/extra creatine(about 2.5g) to it post workout though. And then one serving on off days.

    SAVAGE STUFF
