Just looking at the rainfall figures for Kilkenny - Oak Park (nearest to me) less than half last years summer totals, I'd wager in Waterford City its even less again. Pity we have no station here.

Only started recording on July 8th but since then we had 135.9mm. Most of this fell in July with very little falling in August. June was very dry also so overall a very dry summer for us compared to the last 3 years
