I actually read that before I posted but didn't read the part about fast acting carbohydrate before a work - out.

I presume fast acting carbs are white bread/pasta/rice? And would it be the same for straight after a work-out?

I'm trying not to go down the road of taking shakes so trying to stick to whole foods

    Thanks
