Leading on from the "what's the worst accent thread" what do ye think is the best accent in Ireland. For me I think it is the Galway accent. It doesn't have any peculier pitch to it. What do you think is the best accent?

I don't know if you're including the North, if so... It would have to be a young wan with a mild Northern Irish accent.

I used to think it was grave but these days I'm leaning more towards aigu.

Gail Porter has the sexiest scots accent.

I love the Spanish when speaking English also.

And Cork is easily the nicest irish one :)

I like the Dublin or Cork accent in Ireland...

But if it was internationally speaking, the South African accent has to be the sexiest ;)

Cork by a long way. Sometimes I over hear my daughter and her boyfriend arguing and it sounds like they are singing to each other. I get a great laugh out of it.

I couldn't say, really. Definately not Cork for a bloke, too comical. The dulcet Donegal tones are nice though. Drogheda no way. Nor Kyavaghn.

Despite what loads of people in the 'worst accents' thread think, I don't mind the Kerry accent, but I really can't stand the Galway accent.. don't mind the Limerick one either - find it really funny.

Love the Cork accent though. But I'm biased. Besides that, any northern accent is music to my ears!
