Enjoyed it like most summers! The pub is indifferent to weather :D

Plan to enjoy the colder weather sitting on a barstool in a nice warm pub, nothing better

Well I like to call a spade a spade...........everyone seems to be quite happy to get f**ked left, right and centre these days and put up with it, personally I don't know why people seem to be conditioned into accepting sh!te as normal or acceptable, that goes for the weather and the economy.......

was a good summer for a number of folk as the sun didn't threaten to shine, 3rd highest rate of skin cancer in the world here i think - but for those of us who do require it occasionally, the weekend's northerly chill was an indication it will soon be cold enough for the sun to shine. just it.. won't be very warm and too shortlived / acute an angle.

Oh yeah, the economy, totally relevant to the summer. Cool, way to go for bringing that up.

    Mostly sunny days.
Got to go to an awesome wedding of two of my friends.
    Plenty of weekends away.
    Electric Picnic.

I dunno. It's been pretty good for me.

I'll have one alright, in another SUNNY country where I can afford to live comfortably, instead of fooling myself here.......... Anyone who says otherwise is either delusional or has won the Lotto!

May and June were ok by our standards. July/August, shocking, terrible weather, up until now but it's bloody cold now, my hands were numb on the bike this morning.
Oh well you don't live here for the weather. Thank god for the holiday house in Catalonia!

Wouldn't say worst Summer of my life though. There's been much worse.

If you're talking weather, then it was above average (or so I'm told. I tend not to leave the house when the sun is shining).

If you're talking personal experience, then that's probably your fault.

Weather wise it was a hell of a lot better then 3 years ago when it rained for 50 days straight. It wasn't as hot for as many days as it was last year but I prefered that.

    I had a great summer :D - Spent a week in the sun, got a job :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,706 ✭✭✭fonecrusher1

It was pretty sh!te for me. Not the worst but yeah another fairly bad summer. Not a lot of money about for me at the moment.
Weather was just below average. Because im into the outdoors, heading off camping & all that i found more than half of my weekends away where destroyed with our piss poor depressing climate. I was at the mercy of the weather if you know what i mean so i'd know if it had been a great sunny summer. And it wasn't.

People saying the weather was great this summer? Sorry your just wrong. Yes it was better than last year but last summer was one of the worst recorded.

Im proud to be irish but ****in hell its a grim place to be at the moment & i don't blame people for moving abroad. A dissappointing summer finished & an 8 month winter just started.

    Ah sure its grand!
    :)......

I reckon that the people who voted no should all go to the bank, take out a 10k loan and then head off to Vegas together and blow the lot.

    Problem solved.

weather wise it was horrible, worst summer ever here in the west of ireland

outside the weather yeah it was good, i spent 2 weeks in sweden/denmark at start of june where the weather WAS lovely (among other things :p)

the download festival was amazing, though the last day was a complete washout and freezing cold, still once aerosmith hit the stage the rain stopped. green day played one of the best live gigs i have seen in this country in june, 3hrs they played, the night before i saw pearl jam in the o2

roscommon gave us something to cheer this year, an amazing connaught final win and leading cork after 50 mins in croke park

i climbed croagh patrick on reek sunday, as an atheist it was interesting to see how people take their faith, old people climbing barefoot, weather was horrible though (not surprising), was talking with one old man who said it was the worst weather he had ever seen on 50 years of climbing

of course the ballinamore festival in county leitrim was fantastic as usual, been 4 years since i was up there, won't be 4 years again hopefully
