Should be fairly obvious TBH, check the web, see if anything is on a job site, more realistically id imagine that most part time jobs would probably be found by going door to door with your cv, pubs, shops etc, your college may have contacts for jobs currently available.

The best way to get a job is to simply walk around with a CV and ask for a job.

Very true. The managers perfer to see somebody face to face. They're more likely to remember you if you've handed in your CV personally, rather than post/email/fax it.
    Be pleasant, polite and smile.

Just write on an internet forums and wait for somebody to knock at your door!

But really, hand out as many CVs as possible, apply online and ask relitives or friends if they know of any jobs. The college might advertise jobs also so ask the guidence councilor and look in the news letter.

    Good luck.

Bingo, why bother starting a thread well you've already done the main thing of doing out a CV, not trying to be smart but what advice do you think people will tell you apart from hand out CV's!?

Pop into students union in UL and they're recruiting at the mo themselves too...alternatively get your CV into trinity rooms if you've bar experience. Chances are your going to end up there anyway on nights out. Other than that hand CV's in all over castletroy area...hurlers,superquinn,storm cinemas, chawkes are always looking, kilmurry lodge,spar(3 of them)...list is endless..!

Same advice as above I reckon. Just keep trying a range of methods, try something different to what you've been trying already and hopefully something will show up for you.

Does your CV look like every other CV? Maybe do something to make it standout, print it on different colour paper instead of white? Worth a try since it will stand out of a stack of 100 CVs

Don't so that. That will do nothing but make it get thrown in the bin faster.

Couple of part-time jobs here: http://www.limerickjobs.ie/search/basic/category/all/exagencies/1/ptime/1/

Do you have any friends, cousins, uncles, etc. working in Limerick? These people are your network so you should contact each of them individually to see if they can help you get a job where they work.
