    Hi :)

I've read that the best type of training i can do to lose weight is weight training. I have small dumbells at home. I'm wondering if 15 mins of strength exercises, by this i mean situps, squats and pressups done each morning will have the same effect or do i have to be using weights?
If weights are the best then does anyone know a good 15 mins workout that i can find online which will be suitable for a beginner to do at home?

    Thanks

People often refer to exercises such as Pressups, squats, lunges etc. as bodyweight exercises. (I prefer calisthenics cos its a long word and makes me sound like I know something)

Reason being that you are using the weight of your own body as resistance. So in a way they are the same as using weights.
They can be harder to make more difficult, but I get the idea that this will be unimportant.

Just make sure that you don't neglect the lower body stuff cos obviously there is more muscle in your legs and more muscle used = more energy used and more energy used is a good thing.

I will leave the "what to" up to other people, there is a video that will inevitably get posted so keep an eye out.
