    My brain has stopped working and for the life of me I can't remember the word that people use that's like plamasing. kinda to praise someone to lift their spirts.It's a common word but my mind has just gone blank!

    People do use "plamasing" from the Irish Plamás to mean flattery, etc. I don't think you'll find it in an English dictionary though.
