To be fair not everyone wants to be a huge muscly guy like those in your pics Hanley, but I'm not saying that it's not a goal. Most people aspire to make changes (still big) like those in the OP's pictures.

This always makes me chuckle though

    Dave Gulledge.

Family of disgustingly good genes. His bro, Kyle, pulled over 800lb in High School.

I'm pretty sure I referred to what inspired me. Not what should inspire anyone else. Those guys both went from being elite powerlifters who wouldn't be in great shape, Bartley was just horrifically FAT, to lean guys in amazing condition.

Chest hair to no chest hair is definitely not an inspiring transformation, all else being equal.

the before and after shots seem to be showcasing the poor lifespan of the bulbs in the lights in these lads rooms.

everyone looks jacked in a dark room.

Whats wrong with 2nd guy in first picture. Esscence of manliness in that pic. The BF in his 2nd pic would be very hard to sustain throughout life.

Gulledge just has a simply awesome structure, def the type of shape I would aspire to; hard work and some amazing genetics needed!

I'm not implying that he's not in good shape in the before pic. However,he looks in great shape in after pic.

Are we seriously talking about him being in shape?

The dude looks like he eats tire irons and small childern.

He looks like a proper ****ing man. that'd be good enough for me anyday

    I'm lost atm....

In the first pic, Gulledge looks like a grissly bear capable of ripping your limbs off and beating you to death with them, before sucking the meat off like they were a chicken wing. He's big, strong and nasty looking, and I wouldn't mind looking like that.

In the second pic, he looks f*cking UNREAL. Check out his erectors

There was a thread/discussion on this before, he injured his lower back/spine before which most likely caused the muscle develop even further to protect itself. Least that's how I remember it, and my own back would be the same on a much smaller scale.

In his transformation did he simply lose fat while continuing to train, ie maintain the muscle he has and remove fat. Or did he change up his lifting to increase muscle mass? ie change away from PLing in favour of a more bodybuilding stlye of training?

Here is a link to archived version of interview on him cutting down to lean mass, pretty interesting read. Also talks about his back injuries and others injuries he got.
